Mai really didn't make as big as impact in Last Round as she should have, considering she wasn't even added to the game until over a year after it came out. Having her return for 6 makes a lot of sense.

She certainly fits the franchise on account of her bra not.

I mean I liked the Azuchi Stage but Naotaro was one of the more... head tilting choices

especially when people were expecting either another VF fighter 'Kage, Vanessa or Lau' or a more off the wall choice

Shimbori is officially the best Trolling Creator I have ever seen.

It's less Trolling Creator and more trying to have your cake and eat it too.

They want to be taken seriously as a fighting game, but they also want tits and ass, either because they don't want to lose the horny bastard market or they're horny bastards.

To a point, these are mutually exclusive. A reflexive part of everyone's mindset is "If they had to stuff bouncing titties in it to attract attention it must not be very good to play." even if they don't really realize it.

So they say they're toning things down, don't actually tone things down, and try and win both crowds.

Come on, there's no way it is mutually exclusive. How many Fighting Games to this day were successful while still showing sexy girls?

Everybody knows where this goes when Chin-Li, Mai Shiranui, Sonya Blade and Nina Williams are some of the first characters that come to the players' minds when you ask them about these games.

Now, why tone it down to cater to PCness? Really. Do this kind of people even fucking play videogames? Do they watch the movies that cater to them? Do they listen to music that endears to their tastes?

No, they don't. All they want to do is to enforce their opinions down the throats of the rest of the world, and force the industry into screwing their product to cater to them.

Also, you should have seen what Shimbori did to present Mai Shiranui on the local EVO tournament. The girls he brought to show how the Jiggle Physics work. On a highly conservative-dominated event. There's no way he didn't know what it was and what was gonna happen next.

If this is not the sign of a Master-Level Trolling Creator, I don't know what it is. But I'm quite happy on Shimbori's craziness and the fact that, unlike Senran Kagura's maker, he won't bend his back to anyone. And I tell ya, the way things are, this world is turning into Shimoneta levels of stupid with all the PCness.

I dunno if it's "PCness" so much as it is the video game equivalent of Hardee's/Carl's Jr. realizing they actually have good food and people would buy it more if they stopped being so raunchy in every ad they ran.

Except in this case it's the video game equivalent of Hooters doing the same thing but they kept the Hooters girls around.

I'm hearing this got banned at EVO Japan. Also, the response Mr.Wiz gave is something else.
