NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

We've told the devs about the issue and they will be correcting it. Pages should cache.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Copying from another thread:
- Exhibit A: BestEpisode/ASongOfIceAndFire
- Exhibit B: BiggestComplaint/SonicTheHedgehog
- Exhibit C: BestEpisode/TheLegendOfKorra
As you can see, all of them have a "total number" of options, but only the highest-scoring one is able to be seen.
I've seen this too, on crowners in Image Pickin'.

Editing posts doesn't work on the mobile site. Gimme a second and I'll post the exact message I get.
EDIT: Weird, it wasn't working a few minutes ago, now it is.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Boxen says he can't log in on his phone anymore.
I can't edit posts I make anymore. I get a message saying 'this feature must be used from the tvtropes forum system'
That's the same message I was getting before.
Not now though for some reason.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Noting here that in mobile mode Ask The Tropers posts words can be broken mid-word between lines.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe blue-outs I mentioned here occur on both wiki pages and forum pages. Reloading or requesting the desktop site only fixes it some of the time.
Google Chrome iOS 40.0.2214.69 on iOS 8.1.2.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotOn the Lost and Found page, the "Add a New Query" button is overlaid on the "Show only" (i.e. medium filter) dropdown menu.
Chrome 40.0.2214.111 m, Windows 7, desktop
Bigotry in the name of inclusion is still bigotry.I can't seem to edit posts when using my phone. It just says "this feature must be used within the tvtropes system".
For reference, Windows Phone OS 8.1 GDR 1 Denim, Microsoft Lumia 830 on IE 11.
Same error with an iphone6, using the mobile site btw.
Odd1 states that he can't login using his phone via Chrome for Android (Samsung Galaxy S5). He also states that the same occurred via his desktop, so it's probably an issue with the site recognising his password.
Also, my logins on all my devices (PC and phone) don't stick.

A minor thing: Even when the edit button of an article registers a lock (like on Main.Attack On Titan), the edit button in the history, To-Do, Related To, Discussion and the edit page itself (like on Attack on Titan) don't show the lock icon.
Also, I've noticed that on mobile, the "moderator assistance" button doesn't display.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI also cannot edit my posts. "This feature must be used from within the TV Tropes Wiki forum system."
Edit: Cleared my cookies, and it works.

Flesh is a design flaw.I'm back, but I had to reset my password and now I can't get back to the mobile version of the site, and I had to log back in despite hitting "Remember me".
EDIT: Okay, now I'm spontaneously back in the mobile site.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I can't log in on my phone. The reCaptcha thing infinite loops when I tick the "I'm not a robot" box.
dead devotionAs an addendum to what Box said above and since he can't edit his post at this time, he has a Nokia Lumia 928, Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. He used Surfy, Internet Explorer, and UC browsers.
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019So I paid the amount to the site that had the "no ads forever" bonus... but I still see plenty of ads.
Did you folks not implement that yet?
- Tim
It is indeed not implemented yet
Unless it's changed, the estimated delivery date for that perk was March.
Bigotry in the name of inclusion is still bigotry.I'm getting looped back to the home page whenever I want to edit a page of a work or a trope. The bug regarding the CamelCase is unclear and is propably not applicable.
In Ask The Tropers, I've just posted a query containing "Current page quote from" word combination (to search by, in case it falls too far down). When editing it, I see large chunk of the query duplicated in the supposed-to-be-empty space below the edit window. It looks like query starting with a page quote (likes of which often open TVT articles) misbehaves in this fashion. The duplicate text starts at —>— part of the quote markup and goes unto the end of the text. Edits are saving fine.

As far as I can tell, the pages no longer cache when you backclick.
It makes working through your watchlist annoying, too.
