An Aussie that uses a boomerang as a weapon? Good thing that can't be seen as offensive to someone.
Also, really hope Oprah isn't cast as Waller. Can't see her as the type.
I don't think the Joker will be on the Squad he isn't controllable and the Suicide Squad is for people that want to change. Joker will probably have a similar role to his role on Assault on Arkham.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAh true true. That would be cool then. I hope Leto doesn't try to be a carbon copy of Ledger. That would suck badly, but also, I just don't see Ledger's Joker wanting or having a henchwoman. He was more of a solo guy with expendable mooks.
I'm mostly worried that they'll cast someone young and skinny as Waller, a la Arrow.
I'm also praying that the actress playing Harley can do a decent American accent (she's Australian too)
She did a convincing accent in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureEverybody they're looking at for Waller fits the classic mold so I wouldn't worry about that.
Stand Fast, Stand Strong, Stand TogetherI wonder if in addition to the main cast they'll have some no-hopers to inevitably kill off.
They probably will.
Enchantress might be used to tie into Justice League Dark just because she is the reason they formed in the New 52.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureYeah I immediately thought she was a goner since she's probably the most obscure villain here, but someone else said the same thing about how they could be introducing her to eventually lead into Guillermo Del Toro's JLD movie.
Amanda Waller better be The Wall.
And Queen Latifah would be my choice. She can be forceful (see Mama Morton in Chicago).

Or just get CCH Pounder to portray the Wall in live-action and not just animation.
Stand Fast, Stand Strong, Stand TogetherHaving The Joker and Harley Quinn on the Suicide Squad MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE.
Joker might not be on the Suicide Squad we just know he is in the movie.
Harley Quinn has an excuse she is in the New 52 version of the Suicide Squad.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureHe meant Joker may not be in the Suicide Squad as in the group. The Joker's definitely on the movie, but jury's still out if he's a member of the Squad or just a third party of some sort.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Pretty sure he's the villain antagonist, or at least one of the villains antagonists.

I think with the Joker there are 3 viable possibilities that allow him to be in the movie without being on the squad.
1. He's involved with Harley Quinn's backstory and will only be seen in flashbacks.
2. He's a villain
3. He starts the movie already imprisoned, and the Suicide Squad goes to him for advice on dealing with a villain he happens to have intimate knowledge of, and by the end of the film he escapes. So basically Hannibal in Silence of the Lambs.
Joker is too big an audience draw to only use him in flashbacks.
I'd like to see Queen Latifah or CCH Pounder as The Wall.
I just want her to be at least middle-aged. Pam Grier and Angela Bassett captured at least some of the elements of the character even though they are far more attractive because you could trust that they've been around the block a few times. The Arrow version of Waller as a 20-something model doesn't measure up because she is supposed to be this weathered, bitter, experienced version of a Sassy Black Woman.
Supposedly Viola Davis is playing Amanda Waller.
Latino Review reported it so take it with a grain of salt but she was one of the three choices to play her.
If she did get the part she will be 50 while filming the movie.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThat's sort of my problem. I don't dislike the actress playing her on Arrow but the problem with making her look like a 20 year old fashion model is that she comes across as much less intimidating.
So Davis is much closer to how I envision her.

So this happened: http://deadline.com/2014/12/will-smith-tim-hardy-jared-leto-suicide-squad-lineup-1201306715
Uh...Will Smith as Deadshot could work...I guess...And I suppose Jared Leto as good a replacement for Ledger as any, but I don't think anyone would want the Joker on the Suicide Squad, especially together with Harley.
At least they cast an actual Australian as Captain Boomerang (I think that's a good thing?)
The better cast someone good as Waller.
