ERod returns from his hibernation with the one superhero movie of 2015 that NOBODY ASKED FOR, Fantastic Four (2015).

Next week's victim: The Punisher (1989)

Necroing time.
So, um, hey. Is anyone still paying attention to Eric?
I've noticed that he recently did a review of Ratchet & Clank, in which the main gripe evidently boils down to (judging by the comments) "it's not faithful enough to the first game", so I have one more reason not to notice him as much.
Apparently he's now done a review for The Boy as part of his annual Halloween Havoc campaign, curiously called "Final Havoc".
And his next murder victim will be Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Meh. Very meh.
This year's Havoc is "final," as ERod is going to make the show more cinematic as from the next year. Every episode is going to be similar in style to his crossovers with Linkara or to his 100th episode. He's going to shoot the 2017 season in December, so I assume we might not get episode every week.
And out of curiosity, what bothers you about ERod having the problem with the R&C movie not being faithful to the game?
Just a person. He/him.My mistake: in the new vlog, ERod clarifies that they're going to shoot not the entire 2017 season in December but only the first half of it.

Just a person. He/him.Sorry I waited this long to respond, but I wanted to watch the movie legitimately (as in "on Netflix legitimate") before saying anything about it.
Fortunately, it popped up on Netflix, so here goes.
The way I see it, E-Rod seems to insist that the movie should follow the game bit by bit, word for word, shot for shot. But the problem with that is that if that were to happen, people wouldn't want to watch it because if they wanted the story as it was in the first game, then they should just play the game. It's like how the 90's Psycho movie was said to be way too faithful to the Hitchcock Psycho.
To me, the idea of a faithful adaptation is when the guys who are coming up with the adaptation are actively joining forces with the guys who made the thing that's getting adapted.
And that's why I consider the R&C movie to be a faithful adaptation. Because Insomniac had an active involvement in it.
It's not like in the Resident Evil movies where Capcom (supposedly) allowed Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich to go nuts and come up with a self-congratulating fanfic saga that has Anderson's Alice the Mary Sue hog the spotlight wherever she goes! Even when she comes across the actual characters from the RE games for 6 whole movies!
(Honestly, I don't play the RE games and even I am infuriated about how she is the center of attention and that the world literally hinges on her! Guess I have E-Rod to thank for that, ironically enough!)
Or even anything Uwe Boll's come up with where he basically uses film licenses for video game movies just to guarantee an audience for his schlockbusters!
And I'm not even going to try to gush about how R&C is the greatest film since Citizen Kane, I'll confess that it's got its own case of hiccups (naïve Ratchet can get boring, not enough crazy Sci-fi-gun-toting madness). But hey, I can comfortably say that as far as video game movies go, R&C is no RE.
There. I've said what I wanted to say, and I feel just fine.
At this point, I don't even care about what E-Rod thinks about anymore. He wants to hate on Robots? Fine by me. He wants to lose faith in the DC Extended Universe? Be my guest. He wants to trash R&C even when there have been far worse video game movies out there. You go ahead, bro.
Because I'm done.
ERod talks about the new video schedule and format for the new version of the show: The first episode goes up on 5 March (subscribe to the new channel), episodes will be posted on the first and third Sunday of each month, with the last Sunday of each month being saved for an Honest Review (yup, ERod is going to do them throughout a year this time).
Just a person. He/him.Tbh since Joe stopped watching him apparently and he seemed to be the only one watching his stuff on this site, I'm pretty sure this thread might end up dead and buried soon.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Eh, at least I'll check out the first video of the reboot and let you guys know what I think.
Just a person. He/him.Fair.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. So, the first episode of the new version of the show is up:
ERod is going clipless this time. It's hard to tell how well he'll be able to adjust to a new format since the video basically repeats the same points he made in the last review of the old show. With the shorter length, the review portion feels a bit unsubstantive. The sketches were kind of entertaining, though. I guess we'll have to wait until the Suicide Squad episode to see whether ERod will be able to give an interesting review without the clips.
Just a person. He/him.Sorry for bumping but yeah. I don't like the direction he went to. Despite how much i find his content mediocre, i love his old stuff. I'm making a review of his new season. Here's my video on his review of Unfriended if anyone wants to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh0fclJXH6s
What is this? The 2000s?Oh good. Well, I respect him, though. Hope he recovers after that.
By the way, here's my second video on the show because i forgot about posting it.
"Voicing just my criticism one ass of a time.

What is this? The 2000s?ERod talks about his upcoming eighth season and the 300th episode. Tl;dw: the new season premieres on 27 May, episodes will go DailyMotion first and on YT a month later, due to monetization issues.

Just a person. He/him.The new season begins with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
Just a person. He/him.…Youtubers moving to Dailymotion isn't something that happens often. >.> Have YT's copyright bots become that much of a pain to deal with?

ERod is not entirely moving to DM, he's just going to post new episodes there a month in advance before they hit YT.
Just a person. He/him....Can you make a living on Dailymotion??
Eh, probably not. That's why ERod has a Patreon.
Just a person. He/him.I don't think you can monetize on DM, no.
Anyway, the RE 6 review was pretty fun. The music was way too loud at some points though.
My sense of time is warping, when did he do Batman Beyond honest review again? ._. Was that last year or this month or what
