EDIT: Whoops! Morphine already came up. I'm not surprised. But they are awesome so they deserve another go.

I have an uncle who plays tenor sax and two cousins, one of whom plays alto and the other tenor.
All of them double on other instruments.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."The Band has Saxophone on all of their albums. Everyone of the members play multiple instruments but Garth Hudson and Richard Manual are the only official members of The Band that plays the saxophone.
Garth plays saxophone on every single studio album except "To Kingdom Come."

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThe Detroit sludge outfit Thoughts Of Ionesco had a live saxophonist on their final tour, but finding footage and recordings of them from that period is difficult. It's a trip though.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Holy crap, there's more than one musician named Garth?!?
Speaking of Garths and saxophones, Garth Brooks' "One Night a Day" is a good sax song.
I said Garth Hudson from The Band earlier in that post.
I might have misunderstood your post.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI didn't catch that. And I was in Joking Mode regardless.
You know what's better than punks having sax? Girl punks having sax!
Take that to the Nunnery which doesn't exist anymore.
YES! X-Ray Spex ftw! Probly one of the less-talked about British Punk Rock bands of the 70s. Also the only one I can name off the top of my head who really used the saxophone extensively...

And their saxophonist Lora Logic went on to have a fine career with her own band Essential Logic and across several solo albums after being booted. Well worth a look. Also one of the few places that you can hear a teenage William Bennett put his classical guitar training to use rather than screaming about lust-murder over white noise or Ghanaian drum circles.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I've heard of Essential Logic, but never actually listened to 'em... Kinda got buried under all the other stuff I felt I had to listen to, and then I forgot. I'll take your (usually) reliable word on that, though.
Van der Graaf Generator. Basically every album from The Least We Can Do..." to "World Record" features prominent sax (often multitracked) played by the estimable David Jackson.
I know this thread is kind of dead, but "Soul Love" by David Bowie is a really great song with a good saxophone solo:
