Poor Image: Dark Messiah

If a page is tagged under No Real Life Examples, Please!, does that also extend to the trope picture?

Grrrrrr...reading comprehension, some peoples just doesn't has it. The pic's removed and the tag is adjusted to reflect this thread. No ideas on a replacement right now.

Generally, No Real Life Examples, Please! applies to images and quotes if the problems which caused the page to be tagged NRLEP are likely to occur in them as well. That seems to apply there, in this case.

Also, the fellow who added the image is named ~Kira1980.

Here are some pics of Hades/Alone from Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas. For context, the guy wants to kill everyone, using the titular canvass to kill people by painting them as angels. Since he's Hades, he can make the afterlife awesome for them.

On his bio page, Lenin is himself listed as a Dark Messiah on TV Tropes. Just thought I'd put that out. Not really sure as to the No Real Life Examples Please application in this case. There are plenty of fictional works based on history (i.e: Soviet propaganda films, Fall of Eagles, etc.) where Lenin is portrayed in this manner. Given that Lenin is as much a staple of fiction as history, isn't No Real Life Examples Please being applied too broadly here?

If anyone wants a sum-up of the stuff suggested in the previous IPD (which was clocked and closed with no action taken), here's the Image Links page. I personally vote for the V for Vendetta pic in though. That's pretty much perfect.

If the page is about how he's portrayed in fiction that's fine. If it's about him personally the page needs to be scrubbed.

The V pic is good.

Other suggestions for this from the previous thread (and Image Links also): Justin Crowe◊ from Carnivàle, and the Anti-Christ◊ (the caption would have to say it's not Jesus).

I like both the V and Justin pictures, but think I'd lean toward V, as I can see the Justin picture being parsed as just any charismatic evil character.

V or Justin are both good. Anti-Christ is rather confusing because it looks like some Jesus Expy is having a Ho Yay moment with the devil. All joking aside, he looks it's hard to tell if he's giving in or is resisting. So to that one. I think I lean toward V as well.

I like the V pic.

I suggest this image, although it may be a bit too violent and out of context...but if there's a better image, I think Pain/Nagato fits the dark messiah criteria perfectly.

I can't really see the supposed bad guy there, so

I don't think that last suggestion would be all that good at wiki size.

I don't know if it counts as an example as they aren't mentioned on the page but with the pose and the broken halo I think this Dark Apostle◊ could work.

Honestly it took me a while to notice that was supposed to be a halo. So I would vote against it.

V and Justin seem to be the best images, though V's concerns me because he's a very ambiguous Dark Messiah, sometimes leaning to heroism (specially in the movie, from which that art comes from).

I kinda like that, actually. Might have a slight preference to V though.
