It doesn't seem to be working. I just tested it and changing to not set only hides your own status. Everyone else's still shows up.

My gripe about this is that people who voted in the crowner wanted the option to turn it off across the forum, not just to turn the relationship status off for themselves. It just seems rather deceptive to let people vote for an option that implies the former when the latter was the action taken.

Well, other social sites have relationship statuses, and they aren't seasonal (*cough* Facebook). The point of ours is that it's supposed to be humorous, not that it's specifically related to Valentine's Day. That event was the inspiration for it, of course, but the question of whether it remains is not directly related to the time of year.
