Thanks for the info. I should take my best drawings from my sketchbooks and put them in a portfolio. Except that'd bother me, what with the missing pages in the sketchbooks, and the different page sizes would have to be organized from smallest to biggest.
Sorry about that. I'll put them in the portfolio anyway and just deal with it.

ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI'd also suggest to urgently try different mediums. I also suggest getting your art very well known.
Alright. How do I get my art well-known?
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdFreelance.
Hmm...
There's this guy at my church who told me to show him some of my art sometime, since he needs a digital artist.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdIf you can get payed, that's an awesome rout to go, as well.
I think I'll make something and show it to him, if he has a Facebook.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdDo you do digital art?
Yes, I do. More so than traditional art, I believe.
I do both very often, though.

ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdYou should be set. Draw whenever you can, and try to really observe patterns in how things are drawn.
Drawing is formulaic. Think about it this way: What T Vtropes does to literature is what shapes and pattern do with art, what numbers and organization do in math and science, etc etc. Keep in mind, "You can not draw, what you can not see".
Somebody told me I should draw an eye, and then design something around that.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdSounds like a Zentangle, which isn't all that special or original. I'd focus more on what you want to draw and what you envision.
I agree. I usually just draw what comes to mind.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdGetting your art known isn't easy. Even with ridiculous amounts of freelance work it takes time, effort, and often luck to get noticed. It's not also enough to be noticed, people will also have to like what they notice.

I'd say I'm pretty artsy.
So uh, yeah.
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartI have a bunch of paintings that I work on when I have the time. Is it alright if I link some in?
H.B. WardSo, I bought myself a DSLR and got into photography.
Today, I found this drawing. Since I know a couple of make-up artists who could do something like this, I'm thinking about finding a model and doing a photoshoot. The only problem? I have no bloody idea which model to ask.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisOoh, Day of the Dead makeup! I'd say to just ask around, because it's such an interesting style that you'd have to get at least one or two models.
As for me, here's an artwork draft for my story Moonflowers.
Something's still finicky about the placement of the heart, but I can't figure out where else to put it. I wanted the lower left corner, but that changed once I realized the braid would be way too finicky for an overly curved line. Maybe it should be on the other point of the crescent?
I had a crazy idea that may or may not work. There are several species of tiny but vibrantly colored Chlorociboria fungi to be found in the forests around my house. My idea was to get an untreated plank of wood of the same species they feed off of and make maybe an oil paint of fungi slurry. Leave the "canvass" somewhere shady and wet for a few years and maybe it'll "blossom" in a sense into something completely different.

That sounds awesome.
As for my own art stuff, here's a few sketches for Moonflowers.

Hey there, I'm more of a musician/composer than anything else, but hey. I used to study animation in college, but part of the reason why I left was that I wasn't really that keen on drawing. I do like photography and digital art to some extent, but that's about it.
I also write and compose songs. All my music is electronic; I used to play a keyboard, but nowadays I mostly use software for my compositions. It falls somewhere between the techno and new age genres, and there are a lot of songs on spiritual and/or dark topics, and quite a few "character songs" about fictional characters as well. There are also some silly dance pop-ish songs too.
I also have some novels I plan on writing (part of the reason why I frequent this site so often) - my troper page gives a general idea on some works I have planned.
I also once planned to design a video game based on one of my stories (which takes place in a virtual world), but I'm beginning to doubt the feasibility of that, especially since it'd be a pretty complex RPG (like, Pokemon level of complex).
Come, my child of the devil. Your mother is calling you. Hear my call in Hell's grand hall, where all our dreams come true.Alright, that's finished it. I post the surreal fantasy now.

- Fancy Night◊
- Sight Fury◊
- You wouldn't enjoy number 4, so I've redacted it.
All sizes are calculated as two pixels per millimeter.
H.B. WardI'm definitely an artist. I draw quite a lot. I also have a Nuzlocke comic on Deviantart and a screenie page on Neopets. However, I do not wish to show my Deviant Art page until I can fill it with some more good art. No, seriously. you'd cringe if you saw it right now.
