Nobody ever asked what happened to Pinkie.
"We be we baby!"It's Pinkie. She can handle herself. :)
There! She did, like, the THIRD idea I suggested?!?
Huh. That's an interesting look for her.
Reaction Image RepositoryI'd shag her with that mane!
"We be we baby!"Yeah, Pinkie is fine.
Reaction Image RepositoryShe IS hitting all my tomboy buttons! :3 :3
That is a great typeface on that magazine cover!
Huh. She did get in the mag.
Photo is a stalker confirmed.
"We be we baby!"> I'd shag her with that mane!

New theme music also a boxEh. Overall, just another meh episode.
I thought it was pretty fun. Lots of great expressions. The message wasn't particularly interesting, but it was very entertaining. And honestly this is exactly the type of thing Rarity would get worked up over. I wonder if she would've responded differently if she hadn't had a photo shoot coming up.
Reaction Image RepositoryI know what I said.
So, Fanart of tomboy Rarity when?

"We be we baby!"I think anypony would have reacted similarly to her in her situation (or at least within the confines of their character), and the added pressure of the photo shoot only made her reaction even more justified. Yes, she has developed throughout the past seven seasons, but it's totally believable that she would react like that even now.
As for the episode itself, I honestly felt it worked really well. Yes, it's the token outside appearance vs inside character episode, but the build up and execution was all solid and very entertaining all throughout. Definitely handled better than say Simple Ways or even the Powerpuff Girls' own take on said episode.
How many times has that happened by now?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I don't think we've seen Zecora since that episode where that Griffon girl tried to get a cutie mark. However while looking up just when we saw Zecora last I learned that she's also a main character in next week's episode.
This episode was interesting. It feels sort of like a return to the old days of the show.
In this episode: Rarity is the Samson of fashion: She loses all her fashion powers when her hair is shaved.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayPretty fun episode. No ground-shaking story or morals, but it was pretty entertaining. I really liked the callbacks to previous episodes, like the bit at the beginning where Burnt Oak and Grand Pear are visible in the market, the references to Starlight's and Twilight's poor experiences with time travel and Applejack bringing up events from the pilot. It kinda feels like this season is trying for more cross-episode continuity than usual.
On another note, I loved the visuals in this episode. I liked how the Everfree and Zecora's home both got visual rehauls, the glowing eyes in the forest were a nice touch, and Rarity's punk rock look was just gorgeous.
PALINDROME PA- OH FUCK YOU
Oh wow, we haven't gotten a Pannic Page in a while. It's kind of unlikely now that the thread is slower.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayMy initial comments:
- I felt like Rarity was having a bit of a role-reversal with Fluttershy when she was acting meek and getting pushed aside in public, especially when she got crowded out for buying the couch she had reserved. It reminded me of Fluttershy's behavior in the beginning of "Putting Your Hoof Down", and it made me think that maybe now Rarity knows how Fluttershy felt in that situation, especially since Rarity was with Fluttershy when that happened and tried to get her to be more assertive.
- I'm glad that Twilight and Starlight both learned their lessons about trying to solve problems by messing with time.
- Aside from when the entire group thought they needed to go rescue Apple Bloom from Zecora, I don't think we've ever seen Rarity voluntarily go seek Zecora's help for something, or interact with her much at all (although Rarity herself basically explained why, that she doesn't like having to travel through the forest to Zecora's hut). I'd also note that the last time Rarity got help from one of Zecora's potions, it was to turn her mane/body fur back to normal.

Pinkie Pie playing accordion with her mane and tail was not something I realized I needed in my life until just this minute.
Ain't Perfect Pear, but good larfs and Rarity is fabulous as always.

Fanfiction I hate.I see what you mean, now that you mention it.
I was just thrilled about Zecora's triumphant return to relevance!
Maybe she doesn't live there full-time?
The whole "it's been months" thing is gonna bother me though, since you know it'll be one of those things where we never see what Rarity or probably anypony else did all those months.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
"Well she's not a lemon" - Twilight Sparkle.
This song needs more love.
