For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

~Prometheus136 I challenge you to a duel.
Only on the condition that when you inevitably lose, you will serve as my menial until the end of time: a crawling, whimpering husk of a human who isn't even worth sharing human blood with. You will drink the blood of rats and eat dog shit at my command. I'll cut off all your limbs and remove your eyes, your tongue, your ears, and your teeth so all you will be is a mewling, squirming stump-worm that used to be man.
"No thanks, I've already had a wife."
Anyway, we'll kick off with the final episode of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and a new video from Everything Is Terrible.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, we finally feast our eyes on What We Do in the Shadows...

Alright, tonight we got the first of two... or three (or more?) movies combining key themes from The Terminator and Robocop, about a dubious army project to use reanimated corpses of soldiers as obedient, deadly cyborgs.
Starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, here comes Universal Soldier...
Alright, I'm starting us off with a blast from Ryan Seacrest's past, hosting the gameshow Click, featuring the dumbest teenagers in America (if we're lucky).
Then, at the top of the coming hour, we got Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren in the action epic Universal Soldier!

A quick note on the chronology of the Universal Soldier franchise. The first film, which we watch tonight, stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as the hero and Dolph Lundgren as the villain. Then there was Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms, which was a made for TV movie that recast both actors. Then came Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business, another made for TV movie, which had the hero, played by the JCVD replacement, but Lundgren's character was absent. Then the guys in charge said, "nope, those two movies don't count, only the original is canon," and made Universal Soldier: The Return, which was again a feature film and brought back JCVD as the lead. Then, for a second time, the guys who made the films said, "nope, only the original film counts again, the rest are non-canon." They made two more films, Universal Soldier: Regeneration and Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, which both had JCVD as the hero and Dolph as the villain.

The only one of these I'm familiar with is the one with Van Damme and Bill Goldberg (The Return, I'm assuming).
Anyway, tonight we're revisiting Cloak & Dagger, starring that kid from E.T.—The Extra-Terrestrial.
...Is that blood?
Tonight, we revisit the ★★★ Cloak and Dagger, the movie that had an Atari-developed game change its name so it would become a tie-in. The movie about the boy who obtains help from the ghost of an FBI agent to stop bad guys who are trying to obtain a video game cartridge with secret government information hidden in it. But far from a dumb little "Home Alone" Antics movie, this one took itself seriously and didn't screw around, with genuinely threatening villains.
In the pre-show, we got more SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm sure it can't be any worse than the upcoming live action Sonic movie!

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!I had a bizarre situation occur where during the movie, suddenly my space bar stopped working. But when I jumped to Discord to complain about it, it worked there. I then realized my space bar worked everywhere except CyTube. Refreshing fixed it. But what a weird glitch.

Tonight's Kung Fu Friday movie is a mid-70's pizza trash about a kung fu cop who butts heads with ethnic gangs in New York City and fights a Chinese demon in a subway station.
It was originally titled The Devil's Express to emphasize the plot involving the demon. After the movie didn't fare to well, it was renamed Gang Wars to emphasize the inner-city crime and violence. Whichever way you wanna cut it, it's still a piece of crap.
viago is the best disney princess
War is God.Is it Gang Wars or The Devil's Express? I guess it depends on which plot interests you most.
But it's preceded by the usual Kung Fu Friday preshow.
So come on in to watch some Kung Fu fighting! https://cytu.be/r/TroperCoven

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Well, it at least gave us two GIFs. /realblood◊ and /afro◊
It only got ★ from us.
I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Nobody thought to make gifs of that one demonically possessed guy from Hong Kong?
...Or use a gifmaker that doesn't leave watermarks on the final product?
I tried gifmaker after gifmaker, and all of them rejected the video, most claiming it's too long, while Imgur just didn't give a reason. But if you can recommend a gifmaker that accepts long, movie-length YouTube videos, I'll gladly use them.
But yeah, apparently that part didn't stick out to us. I didn't see anyone mention it in the chat either.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Wow. I just watched Saberspark's 34 minute video on Roadside Romeo. An awful CGI movie by Disney of India about an asshole playboy dog. And now, I feel like we just have to watch it.
Characters speak a combination of Hindi and English, with English subtitles. I got the movie and I'm ready for whenever we might check it out. The review of it looked fascinating, and we gotta see it. Also, can I say that in really like the voice they chose for Romeo? Whether speaking Hindi or English, he has that perfect "Romeo douchebag" sound.
Also, my friend Amy had suggested that time machine movie which is on YouTube; I'd be up for watching that sometime.
I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!So is there a show tonight?
somethingHoly shit! I totally forgot to announce something here before I left for work in the morning.
At the top of the coming hour, we'll be watching the horror sequel Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II.
But, before that, we inch ever so much closer to that notorious anti-drug episode of C.O.P.S. (Soon, I tell you!)

I'm gonna make us watch a movie that gives top billing Justin Long, and our choices are either this or Jeepers Creepers, and I've decided against the one directed by a convicted pedophile (at least, I think this movie wasn't directed by a pedophile).
And Carl Weathers and Stephen Tobolowsky are on board for some reason, as well.
Get ready for The Sasquatch Gang...
it was directed by a mormon though
somethingLOL, of course it is! I noticed that this was written and directed by the second unit director of Napoleon Dynamite, but I hadn't thought about the obvious Mormon connection until just now.
Anyway, we're starting off with The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Everything Is Terrible.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, Justin Long and Carl Weathers are hunting Bigfoot in The Sasquatch Gang...

We're long overdue for a Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna H.P. Lovecraft fix, so we're treating ourselves tonight to a rewatch of From Beyond, starring some of our all-time favorites: Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, and Ken Foree!
