Hello, I'm Bread. I go by different names on different sites but here I go by "Bread." I hail from a (very tempting to say literal) hellhole that is some desert in Southern California. You probably know me as "That Guy With An Interesting Avatar Gallery," (which contains weird things that appeal to my oddball sense of humor put there solely for kicks, when it isn't something I am fond of), or "Cassette Futurism-liker #1739."
I am a HUGE animation/cartoon geek, too. I've been passionate about it for a very long time, and I also happen to be an aspiring creator (who needs to write things down more). I've also been wanting to write a webcomic of my own, but I can't seem to find any ideas for it. That, and I seem to daydream a lot more than I put down any idea I have. I've been forcing myself to draw more, however.
You might often see me in the Forum Games. Either that, or the Synchtube Troper Coven, where some fellow tropers (and occasionally some not-tropers) watch crappy movies for fun.
I both love and hate this site.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY YO!" -takes a fat drag from his cigar- "JOE LIGOTTI DA GUY FRUM BAWSTUN AGAIN HEAH TA TELL IT LIKE IT I-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH"
Don't you just love it when you get interrupted by a YouTube Poop source?
You can chat with me anytime, including IM. Either that, or hit me up for my discord, if you want. But just to let you know, I don't really talk much unless I really need to, and I'm very awkward.
Also: If I have done or said anything wrong, please let me know about it. Thank you.
Tropes that describe me:
- Actual Pacifist: I'm too reluctant to lash out for the most part because when I do, I end up feeling guilty for a long while. I also find it difficult for me to fight back as well, especially taking my "learned helplessness" tendencies into consideration...
- All-Loving Hero: I strive to be this regardless of the horrific things about this world. Even taking in the harshness of reality, it's still good to look on the bright side of things once in a while to keep from completely despairing. After thinking about how I've come off as, I promised myself to not let anyone or anything horrible turn me vile no matter what and to be as best as I can be.
- Anti-Nihilist: I like to see myself as this, at least.
- Apologizes a Lot: It's more noticeable in real life, but still.
- Attention Whore: Defied in my case. I hate being the center of attention.
- Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason why I tend to be loyal to others.
- Berserk Button:
- Romanticized Abuse, (especially the Loving Bully trope), being talked down to, and being used as an outlet to take one's frustrations out on are among my major ones.
- Jokes made at the expense of suicidal people is one of the quickest ways to make me leery of someone.
- Smug people, those who are excessively aggressive, and Nietzsche Wannabes are ungodly tiring for me to be around.
- Big Eater: Yet I still have a sorta average build.
- Bi The Way: I'm for the most part unsure about my sexuality, but all I know is that I'm not straight.
- Blinding Bangs: My hair tends to droop over my eyes, or just one of them.
- Blue Oni: Most of my friends fit the Red Oni type.
- Broken Pedestal: How I felt when I realized some people I was once close to turned out to be paedophiles.
- It's also how I felt when John Kricfalusi turned out to be a paedophile, as well. Granted I have been gradually losing respect in him for a long time because of how he's such an elitist snob and an all-around hack, as well as being an insufferable know-it-all and treating those who have worked for him like rotten (among numerous other things), but that was the final nail in the coffin for me.
- Brutal Honesty: Constant world-weariness can do that to a person. I've more often than not found myself delving into this at times, even when I don't notice it. It can also seep into my humor, as well. It's not really something I'm proud of, however, and I have been taking steps in keeping it in check.
- Buffy Speak: I can be prone to wording things in an awkward manner because I can't seem to put things into words correctly most of the time.
- Catchphrase: I sometimes say "a bdurr hurr" after making a mere mistake. I also say "ok" or "oh, okay" in response to most things said to me. I always mean it in a (jokingly) submissive manner.
- There's also "lol[something I am rubbed the wrong way by]" in a similar vein to "lolnope." There's no space between the "lol" and the first word, and it is meant to indicate sarcasm.
- Closet Key: The first guy I've ever had feelings for was this feminine gay friend of mine who I hung out with in my junior year of high school. We've kinda grown apart, though, and I never really got to tell him. Also stupid sexy Link and Nightwing.
- Cold Ham: It's kinda difficult for me to express much emotion (to this day I'm unsure why), but I have had my moments. It often mames me feel awkward, however.
- Composite Character: I have a tendency to (subconsciously) mimic certain quirks and parts of my personality after friends I have been with for quite some time (for better or for worse). I don't know why, exactly. For example, I tend to spell "music" as "muzak" because of an in-joke by the synchtube troper coven.
- Cool Pet: I have a Greek Tortoise named Sigma and two cats named Gizmo and Melody.
- Crazy-Prepared: At least, I aspire to be this.
- Dark Is Not Evil: I'm often seen wearing dark clothes (when I'm not seen in green flannel, that is), yet my friends say I'm a very nice person. I do, however, happen to have my moments where I've snapped, and that's something I've been working on. .
- Dashing Hispanic: Well, half Hispanic, despite looking whiter than... Whatever else that's white. I jokingly refer to myself as a "hickspanic" because of this. Also explains the Gratuitous Spanish as well. That, and my tendency to use Spanish cursewords that I've picked up from my elders.
- The Ditherer: This is a flaw that is often hard to work around for me. Then again I'm not used to making decisions, which, therefore, made me not very choosy with things, so that must be why.
- Fiery Redhead: I'm a non-example of this. I don't express my emotions much. Even if I'm angry or frustrated, I'm still more often than not calm about it.
- Height Angst: Well, "angst" is a strong word, but I don't like how freakishly tall I am.
- Heroes Want Redheads: I may or may-not have been the subject of this back in high school. It was never really made clear to me.
- I myself have recently grown veeeeeeeery fond of redheads, which puts me on both ends of this trope, I guess.
- I Hate Past Me: I get embarrassed whenever I am reminded of something embarrassing I did a while back.
- Knight in Sour Armor: I'm more-or-less this.
- Laborious Laziness: Holy hell, do I have a problem with this.
- MST: You' d often find me at the Synchtube Troper Coven. I LOVE bad movies. Starcrash, Student Bodies, Troll 2, Johnny Mnemonic, and Think Big are the best bad films. I also have a bit of a love/hate relationship for Troma as well.
- Nightmare Fetishist: Horror in general is more or less my anti-drug, hence my fondness for horror-related youtube channels, and especially when I come across obscure-ish creepy videos on youtube myself. I really like Surreal Horror short films the best. The more obscure/indie and surreal-er the better.
- no punctuation is funnier: i sometimes type like this in the forums or in chat
- No Social Skills: I'm bad at talking to people and expressing myself in general. It's something I'm pretty embarrassed about.
- Perishing Alt-Rock Voice: This comes with always talking quietly. I can imitate certain musicians' voices, though. My other singing voice, if it's loud enough, sounds kinda like what you'd imagine an androgynous singer in a New Wave band would probably sound like. .
- Ping Pong Naïveté: This is yet another problem of mine. Every time I feel like I've got myself sorted out, I somehow end up back to square one.
- Precision F-Strike: I don't swear a whole lot, but I do save it for when one would least expect it. That's what makes them fun.
- The Quiet One: Most of the time. It's hard for me to even raise my voice.
- The Silent Bob: Some days I'm like this when I don't feel like talking.
- Reclusive Artist: If I were to somehow become a creator, I would most likely be this.
- Redhead In Green: I'm often seen wearing green shirts or flannel, depending on the weather. I also like black and gray, too.
- Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Averted in my case. I love reptiles. They never get enough love.
- Ridiculous Procrastinator: Not as bad as a few years back, but I still have this problem from time to time.
- Running Gag:
- Referring to cats as "ket," which started off as a weird joke post in the trash heap that went off to become an In-Joke of some sorts.
- samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed samoyed
- Posting TF2 soundbites at the perfect moments during Synchtube Night is another one.
- Sophisticated as Hell: I tend to speak like this in real life.
- The Stoic: How most people tend to see me as. I'm more of a mix between Sugar-and-Ice Personality and Situational Sociability.
- The Teetotaler: I've grown to detest alcohol after having to see secondhand what alcoholism can do to a person.
- Trademark Favorite Food: I like a lot of food, but the ones I can think of at the top of my head are mushrooms, salmon, lemon pepper chicken, and occasionally a good hamburger. With sweets, I'd say mint-flavored things and dark chocolate. As far as drinks go, I LOVE root beer, cream soda, anything lemon-lime flavored, and cream soda.
- Unkempt Beauty: Many people have said that I look cute with a bedhead.
