For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

Er... ahem. It's a ton of fun. I am SO looking forward to seeing Starcrash again. I'm actually giddy.
War is God.What he said.
So come on and riff with us pals.
Tonight (or whenever we get people together again), I was thinking of maybe dipping into some of the kung fu movies we could find, perhaps?
Maybe something like this?
Hmm? Anyone of you guys would be interested in Black Dynamite? I have it on my page Of course I mean watch it later in the week.

Sup, dawgs.
Later in the week? I'm open to the possibility. I've seen Black Dynamite before and enjoyed it. My only concern is that we've been watching quite a few parody movies and "intentional camp" movies in the past few days; ideally, I'd like to mix everything up as much as possible and get a good variety of features.
Moreover, if we want some blaxspoitation fare, then why not go for the real deal?
EDIT: Oh man, I think screening THIS now needs to be a priority. The title alone...

Hey all.
Oh Lord what even is that? lol
Last night was quite the... something. It was campy fun for a while but then it got annoying. The AC/DC soundtrack didn't help.
What the hell was up with that kid anyway? Was he like the badass Clint Eastwood could only dream about? He didn't flinch at ANY of the bloodied corpses, didn't care when a man threatened to kill him, and was blowing bubbles shortly after coming to the gas station seemingly terrified.
War is God.I'm in!
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI haven't the faintest idea, beyond knowing that it's a blaxploitation movie with a more ridiculous title than Blacula and that I would very much like to see it for some twisted reason.

We're watching Starcrash tonight right?
War is God.Unfortunately, friends of mine that I want to have with us for Starcrash again won't be able to be with us tonight. But after one movie, if everybody else is still clamoring for Starcrash*, then I'll play it for everybody else.

Aw damn! Oh well. I can wait I suppose. You probably have a lot more bad movies.
How about Monster Shark/Devil Fish?
War is God.I don't know, after Piranha and Piranha II, I kinda want to stay away from aquatic monster movies, at least until the weekend. It would certainly make good matinee feature before we watch Starcrash again (which we should do soon), but for now, I'd try to explore a genre we as a group have yet to touch, like Blaxploitation, Martial Arts, or Kaiju.

I vote for Kaiju. We need to figure out a medium for all of us to vote.
War is God.I'm with Prometheus on this one. I'd like to see a Kaiju. Preferably made by someone who doesn't know the meaning of the phrase "special effects budget."
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. This and bad lip synching. And men in obvious rubber suits. And lots of sparks. And really obnoxious sound effects.
War is God.I've had Gamera v. Guiron on hand just for such a thing.
And, well, Synchtube lets us host polls.
We can always get a quick vote for main feature done when we start gathering there in, what, about 30 minutes, undoubtedly. Additionally, we can start getting in some kind of habit of voting for tomorrow's movie later in the same evening.

Here I am.
My synctube channel is now open, and a poll for tonight's movie has been started.
Come on in, the pre-show entertainment is just about to begin http://synchtu.be/SeanMurrayI

(in raspy voice) Greetings new person. Welcome to the family.
We're thinking of watching a Kaiju movie tonight.
War is God.I tried making a room, with a bad/great song marathon.
Yeah, never doing that again, anytime soo-who am I kidding.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.
