They've been cancelled again?
Didn't they give Shadow The Hedgehog a good score?
I searched for a very long time just to get the issues that were about Quest 64.
The magazine also stopped being super kid-friendly and weren't afraid to swear. It pretty much evolved into a magazine for all.
Besides that, it had some favorable reviews, articles, and so on. I love the thing. Plus, the covers and the Sonic-series Coverage was rather good.
How will we hear about SSB 4 now outside of the internet?!
Yet another reason I love the magazine. I can't see anything bad about that game besides Shadow being slightly uncontrollable and it being a little glitchy. Only actual issues with it overall. Story was fine. Graphics were fine. Gameplay was mostly fine. Characterization was great, etc.

I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DMy childhood has just been shot to pieces.
Well, not really, but it was a fairly nice magazine until I discovered the internet.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. That's some bad news. I used to read that stuff all the time, except by read I mean look at pictures.
I still have a lot of Gamecube-era issues. I was subscribed for quite awhile, my brother and I. That was fun. Damn though...
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorMy bro and I were subscribers for years. But . . . cancelled "again?" If this isn't the first time, we'll have to wait and see for now.
MY CHILDHOOD NOOOOOOO
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowNintendo Power taught me about The Legend Of Zelda Oracle Games, Robopon, Metal Walker, and countless other games.
but there MAY be hope.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Sadly Game Informer has like the third most subscribers of any magazine in the country thanks to Gamestop pushing the thing so hard.
Ouch.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Eh, Nintendo hasn't had its own magazine here in Finland for years You won't remember that such magazine existed after ten years or so
I don't know. I don't think that Nintendo Power will be forgotten for as long as there are gamers who were kids in the '90s. Back then, you might not have gotten it, but you definitely had a friend who did.
Is anyone else thinking of going out and getting the last issue? Just for posterity's sake?
Wow. Well, I think we all had an idea this was coming. With the internet becoming the more popular alternative for receiving exclusive Nintendo previews, cheat codes, and other information it's no surprise that their magazine would've been badly affected, especially since their biggest hook was publishing cheats and secrets.
Heck, I still have a copy of their 100th issue stashed away in my closet. I wonder if it's going to become a collector's item in the future?
i've been a subscriber since their banjo-kazooie issue, i dot need to go out and get it ;-;
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowSo it's really cancelling?
That's kinda sad. Nintendo Power was a funny read when you got it. It was helpful sometimes as well, I know they posted Easter Eggs and other neat tricks in some of their magazines. So It's sad to see it go.
I might pick up the last issue. For remembrance purposes.
Eh, it lost a lot of its charm after issue 200. I actually liked the portions of strategy guides they published even if it was kind of redundant with the internet. I feel like it got kind of boring after the shift to a more news oriented format.
How many issues did they get up to?
The funny thing is, I actually saw a copy today when I passed an HMV and thought about picking it up, because it was an Epic Mickey issue. Kind of wish I had now. :/
There's no announced final issue yet, so no one is sure.

Link.
I've never really read the magazine but still, it's the sort of thing that felt like it would be around forever.
Anyone got any stories about the magazine? Secrets it taught you, games you learned about from it?
