Huh so it's a survival horror in shonen form.
I'm not sure how you can make that into a long-running series though unless it's just the protag surviving constantly from an unkillable monster.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, there's the hiccup that the protagonist is the beast and there's a monster girl controlling him and other beasts. But yeah, once that was out of the way, there might not have been a whole of directions for the story to go.
To those following R×L, did it look like it was nearing its end? I heard that the volumes sold pretty well, so I'm a bit surprised that it was axed, despite its terrible rankings…
I didn't, but my brother did. Supposedly it was just starting a major tournament...
Yeah, it (Rx L) was just finishing up the first miniboss of the tournament, so the author clearly wasn't planning for an abrupt end.
So Longasstitle Tanaka Seiji is about a… super-secretary… who fights with sign stamps and business cards…? Also, the title is the guy's actual job description.
Ziga had a somewhat cool and conclusive ending, so there's that. A pretty unusual ending too…
But yeah, RĂ—L on the other end, got the No Ending treatment. Sad.

Indeed it’s sad espeiclsly that last meeting of the hero & his rival as they pledge to meet again in the finals, a meeting that will never happen.
I have to say I kinda expected it to end like this. I’m reminded of a post I read long ago detailing how golf is not a sport you can necessarily base an entire manga around. It’s too simplistic even if given shonen energy as there’s only so many ways you can draw a ball flying threw the air within the confines of relative reality.
It’s a sport that needs to be surrounded by a really compelling plot & characters to work well. Guess it didn’t have that, doesn’t help that the guys suffered from same face syndrome from what I read a while ago before I stopped.

Eh, not a great first ranking for Momiji, but could have been worse. I still don't think it's gonna survive long, mostly because of what said. There's really only one or two characters that I like in this thing.
I'm very afraid for Noah's Notes now. TT.TT
Some info about Tite Kubo's new oneshot, coming out next month. The catchphrase is "Witches, dragons, reverse London." Interesting, but damn that color page is ugly.
Someone must've enjoyed Little Witch Academia.
Wait what?? This is his next manga?
My favorite artist writing a manga about my favorite thing!?!?
Can't help but laugh at the title though. Bleach… Burn the Witch… There'd better be a Yoruichi expy in there.
Don't get too excited, it's just a oneshot.

So, here's what Alice to Taiyou is about: Suzuki Taiyou is a shy high schooler who loves to compose music all alone. He meets the school idol Shinohara Alice, a wonderful singer who happens to know Taiyou through some music he had uploaded a few years ago, so she absolutely wants to sing with him when she finds out. Just before her live performance at the school festival, lightning strikes and the power is out − so Taiyou has to come to the rescue so that Alice can sing to his piano (since the power was out no one noticed he was the pianist). The audience loves it and it all starts from there.
Classic setup, but pretty likeable characters. Alice is a slightly cooler take on the Manic Pixie Dream Girl and her cousin has some charm too. The art is not great but solid. So it's not bad so far. It simply has the unavoidable problem any music-centered manga must face: you can't hear the goddamn music in a manga.

I haven't followed Shonen Jump rankings since I'm a lurker... But I want to ask about something. Does it have a shonen action feels in the manga?
Also, I'm hoping that Noah's Notes doesn't get axed and would love to see a miracle that could save that manga which is probably unlikely but still hoping :/
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."That illustration of Luffy and Goku is scheduled for my nightmares tonight.
I really want to see that cover.
Also heh Haikyuu really is a big series, weird how its not exactly considered as much in the press.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Here you go.◊ Careful, if you stare into Goku's face for too long you'll lose your soul.
What do you mean? If you're asking if there are a lot of action/battle series in the lot… there's One Piece, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Gintama, and I think Jujutsu Kaisen.
…Oh well, I didn't need my soul anyway.

the Alice no Taiyou one actually... Sorry for my ambiguous comment
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Good lord that is fucking terrifying.
Jesus Christ its like Luffy's face was planted onto Goku, that's not right.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh! No, not at all. Seems more like a musical romance Ă la Your Lie in April. So far at least. >.>
Ah alright...Thanks.
And yeah, I'm still thinking that Noah's Notes needs some love. Which will take some miracles to happen... Just like Kimetsu no Yaiba
IIRC, A Kaiju goes on a rampage and kills everyone close to the protagonist who has precognitive dreams about the beast. I'm not sure if there's more to it. The US Jump doesn't add the Jump Starts to the lineup past the initial 3 issues.
