I feel like every encounter Frank has with someone who’s not some kind of mobster should end with him getting his testicles punched in.
Like how in the current run of Daredevil, DD pointed out that everything Frank has ever done would be amateur play if he decided to go all out.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Even in Punisher MAX, Frank always has a lot of trouble whenever he takes on anyone who isn't a run of the mill crook or organized crime, such as the Russian, Barracuda, and a bunch of slavers who once fought in the Yugoslavian wars.
Also, Molly didn't punch him in the crotch. She punched him in the gut, and hit him hard enough that he could barely stand since she didn't realize he didn't have Super-Toughness. She felt pretty bad about it since she could very well have killed him. Considering the Blood from the Mouth, she likely inflicted internal injuries on him too.

Disgusted, but not surprised@Tiamatty what's wrong with Frank Tierri? Aside from the aforementioned homophobia in the Punisher/Wolverine scene.
I mean, it says right there,
I was kind of referring to his work. I should have made that clear, sorry.
Fair enough, fair enough. (slides back into the lurker pit)
Trans rights are human rights.I've read a fair bit of his Marvel work. None of it stood out as actually good. I literally can't think of a good Tieri comic. Even his best work is decidedly middling.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Frank has the issue where he's not written consistently between a lot of writers. Over in MAX he was largely unemotional about what he did, focused more on mob bosses and organised crime and not on smaller crimes (a pair of thieves during his Roaring Rampage of Revenge noted that he would never have gone after them under normal circumstances even if he came across them), and his victims were the absolute worst of the worst. Even in Fraction's run (the one the Stilt-Man murder) he spared a lot of criminals, spared Rhino after Rhino killed a man in an accident (it reminded him of how he killed an innocent woman while under a hate gas that brought out his worst impulses), and was largely reasonable. And then you get Whedon's Runaways where he's okay with trying to kill teenagers.
It seems that how evil Frank is depends on how much a writer dislikes him personally. Whedon himself stated that he wrote Frank that way because he didn't like Frank.
That is a big problem, the portrayal of the character really should not be dependent on how much the writer likes said character.
Like sure I have my problems with Wolverine but I wouldn't write him as a blithering idiot.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Okay the wedding in Empyre was sweet.
Wiccan & Hulking have small ceremony with their closest friends, being most of the Young Avengers.
Kudos to have them there for their friends most special moment, especially since Eli is retired & I think Tommy is in limbo.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Okay, I need to share this one with you guys.
I'm reading Sensational She-Hulk and have reached issues #10 and #11. The plot of these issues revolves around Clark Finark, a Corrupted Character Copy of Superman and his revenge against a Lex Luthor pastiche named Lexington Loopner. Unfortunately, Finark's opponent discovered that Finark's birth certificate stated he was from the planet Veegwal note . Finark's campaign imploded and he blamed Lexington, who was his image consultant.
Basically, you have a guy whose super villain origin is that he was a victim of the Birther Movement. And this comic was written in 1989.

What is that exactly?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ah, oh wow.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The story also discusses how a culture of iconography and glorified ignorance is very dangerous and how media and public perception are often manipulated. A subplot in issue #10 has She-Hulk prosecuting a police officer who stole money from a drug dealer and gave it victims of crime. One reporter mentions how some people see the cop as a hero and even suggests She-Hulk should drop the case because the public have gotten bored with it.
Huh timely.
I should read that series.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So, over in Champions Cyclops pops in and grants the team asylum on Krakoa, because he remembers his time on the Champions. It's pretty nice.
Cyclops can’t do that, they’re humans!
Between this and overruling the Council vote in X of Swords, Cyclops is steadily eroding the rule of law in Krakoa that is supposed to make it a nation.
Disgusted, but not surprisedShoot, an X of Swords spoiler?! Man, I slept on the X-Men stuff, but hard...
If he keeps going I might, just might, start liking him again.
@ windleopard: Insert Doflamingo speech here.
No, I think that was the Runaways crossover with him.
Trimming the hedges, one trope at a time.
