Yeah, I think we can end this particular derail with that. Please.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Yes, let's stop going into all the gory details here. I can easily stomach such stuff, but not the derails (and other people...). Let's just kill it and move on.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah, it really doesn't matter whether it's pedo-pandering or not, what matters is that it's under the guidelines for being cut, and we've established that in a half-a-dozen different ways.
Pretty much beating a dead horse (which is itself fetishizing violence, and thus deserving of a cut).
As an aside, this:
is incorrect, largely because "torture porn" does not mean "has explicit sexual content." This is why things like Saw, Hostel, and Fanfic.Cupcakes are outside of the P5's purview.
That may not be what you meant, but I wanted to clarify this point so that people don't get the wrong idea of what to flag.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! It's worth mentioning that it's a frequent trick to get stuff past censors (government or commercial) is to have the work as a whole appear to disapprove of the things it's showing. In Victorian times, racy novels about prostitutes were a common theme; such women always came to bad, moralizing ends about the evils of prostitution, but that was not why people bought them — they read them for the titillating stuff in the middle.
A brighter future for a darker age. What is this, the Comics Code?
Quite right. Straight up Gorn isn't going to cut it (because if we put stuff to the sword for being too violent, we wouldn't have a lot of horror flicks on here, not to mention a lot of our mature-rated games.

No, the Comics Code wouldn't let them get away with even that. Ask Stan Lee.

"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Duly noted, Martello.
@Tomu, following Raidou's post: Or Google "Spider-Man" + "drugs"; chances are you'll find what I'm talking about within the 1st 100 results.
/end derail
Next item, please?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Moving away from the particular work, what, then, actually does constitute fetishizing violence? Because we do have something saying it's not permitted, but increasingly I wonder if there's anything that includes fetishizing violence that isn't already otherwise sufficiently pornographic enough to demand a cut.
^^ I think Kara No Shoujo fetishizes violence to some degree, but it's not really pornographic.
Do certain Exploitation Film-s count, like The Passion Of The Christ?
...Or am i the only one that thought they were fetishizing that level of attention to Jesus's death?

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Dance in the Vampire Bund is on the voting tool list, I just want to add that due to its status as a 16+ non-adult title it should get a free pass.
Yes in the us I have most if not all of the books seven seas put out I can check.
funi sold uncensored blurays last I checked.
that would make me vary happy as I read it as kind of an anti-twilight and love the plot over the pedo.

In the US? I could swear that that particular work didn't manage to get a pass over here.
Well that's interesting. But I think standing by the exemptions supremacy takes precedence.
It did get to the US, but Funi decided not to sell any uncensored DVDs. Every edition is censored. Make of that what you will.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerCitation for proof. It was initially considered for censorship editing, but since Strike Witches has similar content and its Western release was not censored, Dance In The Vampire Bund was eventually released in the US completely uncensored.
Source?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So then, clean the page as needed?
From Wikipedia.
In October 2011, it was announced that the UK edition - distributed by Manga entertainment - would not be censored, and that all material removed by Funimation for the US release would be included in its original form.[12]This version was passed with a '15' rating by the BBFC.[edit]

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)No one cares about the UK's rating :P
Oh wait, I misread. DOH.

So they did uncensor it. Wasn't expecting that. The fan outrage was too much, apparently.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerWell, that means it's probably controversial enough to merit a review, right? It's not a free pass so much as 'free pass unless you have a good reason why not.'
I'm not sure why we're debating this so much. Adults have sex with a child. The end. Nuke.
