If you are interested, I suggest you inform the mods rather than bring it up here. If not, then there's probably little need to speak of it, is there?
Animu is an intentional misspelling of anime. It's intended to be kind of affectionate and teasing, I think. I'm not really sure.
animu is a Memetic Mutation like melodramu. Not sure where it came from.

Full Battle ModeBasically, it's just a derogatory (or affectionately derogatory) deliberate misspelling of 'anime'.
What's precedent ever done for us?If you see manga spelled 'mangos' it's for the same reason.
I'm just joking around. The mods would probably throw my app in the trash faster than a HR person throws a resume.
Is Catalogue just lurking here and only posting in the mod forum, or communicating with the other panelists only by PM?
Or is he/she really missing?
Has anyone tried to PM Catalogue lately?
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. You can't post in the mod forum unless you're a mod.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAnd s/he doesn't appear to have voted at all, either.
Judging by the number of votes on most things only Discar, Martello and Komodin are around.
I haven't heard from Catalogue in close to a week. I'm pretty sure he hasn't contacted Discar or Komodin either.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Ok, back to seriousness, I'm worried. Do you guys have a sort of substitute member to switch in?
We do have people in mind, but we'd rather tread carefully and be sure of them.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAnyone else kind of worried that Eiken seems to be on the chopping block? Not because it's any good, but because cutting it would seem to violate some of our guidelines. All the Fanservice in it is targeted toward people the same age as the sexualized characters, after all. In its thread, the main reason Marcello and Komodin seemed to vote for cutting it was "it sucks." Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean we're cutting One More Day.
Does the series exist purely for the sake of fanservice? If so, it's really not any different from porn.
I mean, Manyuu Hikenchou is fun and bouncy and all, and isn't explicitly porn, but since it basically exists for the sake of fanservice, it definitely falls under the purvey of P5 I should think.
Oh hey, it's not cut. Well then.

I thought it was said we weren't going to cut Fanservice directed at an audience the same age as the characters providing the Fanservice, though?
From what I've heard and seen of Eiken, I can't say I'll miss it.
It may not be cut. I personally favor a lock and example clean up/removal.

@Hamburger Time - Eiken is already cut, it's not on the chopping block.
It's Martello, by the way, although Marcello means pretty much the same thing through divergent etymology from Latin. Both names mean "hammer."

"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Cutting an anime for HAVING fanservice is not in the mission statement of P5.
Cutting an anime for BEING nothing for fanservice may well be.
Should I flag Manyuu Hikenchou? It seems like it's in the same club as Eiken.

Sorry.

That is my extrapolation a priori-it doesn't reflect any administrative statement.

This is why the P5 gets to apply their judgement. My tongue-in-cheek statement about judging the relative quality of porn is not meant to imply that we can't cut stuff that is porn in all but fact and has no redeeming qualities otherwise.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That seems like a slippery slope to me, though.

animu is what /a/ calls anime.
