...Still kinda think "Oh here we go again" attitude is not really all that conducive to a meaningful analysis.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenWasn't that the point of the South Park movie, too? And we're not cutting that, so "it exists to rankle the censors" is, on its own, not a valid reason for cutting.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Dit VB is right on the border. I've been following it for a while...there's a very solid story and good characterizations, and while (personally speaking) I don't think it is far enough across the line to warrant cutting, those certain elements that I think everyone knows about it are problematic if you take them at face value, especially with some of the still art from the anime.
IIRC, Barnes and Noble carries it un-sealed...I think it's rated for older teens, but I could be wrong, I'll check when I get home.

Dance In The Vampire Bund is available via Netflix streaming, which may make it easier for some to judge for themselves. (Plus, it's a minor counter-argument against any claim that it's porn, though I'm not sure that's the issue.)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.@tdgoodrich 1: It is, though I've heard that it's one of his less interesting efforts from a visual standpoint, which considering the content is kind of funny.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Someone flagged Air Gear? Seriously?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. We've been through Air Gear before. Gah. That manga is neither porn nor paedopandering. Why do people keep flagging it?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI think we really need to force people to explain their reasons for flagging, like on the discussion page (until a reason box becomes available). And zap the flags if they don't.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRe: Vampire Bund Episode 1
Nothing approaching porn or pedopandering at first adbreak, but from the looks of things, the episode is not representative of the series. May have to throw it out.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenBy the way, it might be good to look at both the anime and manga since I've heard the anime is quite different.
Yo, Shima, should I just zap it off the list? I mean, I've read through it myself, and it certainly ain't worth flagging.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.^^^The girl strips naked and has the guy rub anti-solar gel into her. Not especially pedopandering, but it's there. It's not representative in that this is the most fanservice outta her, IIRC.

Yeah, go ahead and zap it. The person who flagged it is upset that it's raunchy and doesn't have enough character development. Also, there are girls in bikinis.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYou realize that I'm watching the anime and not reading the manga, yes?
Re: Vampire Bund
Watching ep. 2 to confirm whether or not this is indicative of series at large.
Side note: spent much of the ep. wondering where I had heard Mina's voice before. Apparently same person also voiced Victorique in Gosick.
Update: OP has Mina clad in a short skirt and ribbons covering her breasts. Bit questionable, but not the worst I have seen.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenI forgot that the first episode is the gameshow. The lotion scene is later. I'm just saying that as I recall, this event isn't particularly indicative either - the rest is not filled with more of her.

Might as well flag "Baywatch" then, huh?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Yeah, that was about what I was getting from the objection. That and they don't like Air Gear. Just zap it. They've been warned about flagging works.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickOk, in other news, I finished Crimson Spell. It's an epic high fantasy manga with an in depth magical world, deep character development, and a grand story line involving a quest to cure a demonic curse. It also randomly has a couple of pages of graphic gay sex inserted every other chapter.
I can understand why it was flagged, but the characters are adults and the sex is not the focus of the story. The epic high fantasy quest is the focus of the story. The sex is sort of just tacked in there.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickRe: Vampire Bund Ep. 2
Throwing out previous ep. Nothing worth reporting at first adbreak.
Update: Some nonsexual nudity of Mina (apparent age ~11), but still problematic. May just be the version I'm watching but anatomical detail is blurred out. To its credit, when Mina is suspended upside down, her skirt miraculously stays in place.
Episode 5:
Brief scene with Mina removing her clothes to change just before the adbreak. Lasts a couple of seconds. Nothing is shown.
Update: Nothing to report in back half of the episode.
Yeah, I flagged that one. I only went through two chapters by accident while intending to review Crimson Shell. If the sex scenes could be removed without affecting the plot, great. Keep it.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenI have pondered it for quite a while, but in the end, I have decided to flag Showgirls. It may not be your typical porno flick, but Paul Verhoeven made it with the clear intention of titillating the audience. The film revolves around strippers, for Pete's sake! The whole sexplotation and 'reach for the top' plot does not hide that fact, either.
If I am being overzealous, feel free to zap the flag, but I think you guys should at least consider it.
Sorry, Kom, but the thing had escaped without being reviewed for way too long. It needs a look, I think.

"Suffer a vicious person and you will fear vice. Suffer a virtuous one and you will soon loathe virtue itself." Tony Duvert
I've heard that it's still really freaking sketchy. If I recall correctly, Akiyuki Shinbo's entire motivation behind directing the thing was to piss off the Japanese television censors as much as possible, which really does not bode well.
