The first line of the description pretty much defines the trope as "artificially-created biological/organic humans", including biological robots and genetic clones. However...

  1. Several of the listed examples are just Ridiculously Human Robots who are not biological/organic in nature at all. In particular...
    • The Aliens entry lists Bishop in particular — who gives the article quote, BTW — and Synthetics in general as examples, when it's only the second-generation Autons like Alien Resurrection Call who may count, and even then, we're not given any details as to how much of an Auton's internal structure is not mechanical.
    • The Sarah Connor Chronicles example of Cameron clearly says "living flesh on metal endoskeleton".
  2. The article image clearly illustrates a gynoid with mechanical internal structure, thus not this trope. (Mentioned for comprehensiveness. I am taking this problem to Image Pickin'.)

Either a redefinition to a Super-Trope for both biological and mechanical artificial huma(noid)s in general is required, or we should do an example clean-up.

I like this being strictly for pure organics, so my vote's to cull the mechanical examples.

I believe when we were discussing Ridiculously Human Robot in the TRS before it was pointed out that that trope is a little too broad. We could split it in two for robots like Bender who are clearly robots but act human and robots who look identical to humans. We could then direct the misuse to that second trope.

I'm thinking that we have yet another case of Missing Supertrope Syndrome on our hands here, this time a catch-all trope for all kinds of artificial humans that range from robotic near-human androids/gynoids that are ultimately still mechanical, to fully biological/organic robots, genetically-engineered Designer Babies, and of course clones.

[up][up] So we need a Sliding Scale Of Artifical Life? Something like this?

Clocking due to lack of activity.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.

Do we have consensus on making this strictly biological/organic-only?
