Other options then?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanA single proposition so that rename votes aren't split among two different rename options wouldn't be a bad thing. That's a big part of what caused the issues with this one.

In fact, if we total all the votes in favor of a rename, regardless of extra terms and conditions, there would be a 2:1 majority against those who are generally opposed to having it; nay votes for the third option are mostly likely duplicates from those who already voted against a rename, anyway, and votes from people who already voted in favor of having a rename but are against the motion to split the page that's added to it.

I think that's a good idea.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Another vote for Shimaspawn's suggestion.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Hooked a new crowner.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBumping for votes.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.As stupid and corny as it may sound, I think a snowclone could work perfectly as the new name: remember how this trope is about A Nazi by Any Other Name conquering a country? A snowcloned trope name pretty much writes itself.
A Reich By Any Other Name. Pure and simple.
I'm from Piedmont. No relation with Piedmon, mind you!Calling crowner. Lack of consensus.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerOk, if we're not going to rename, how about some redirect farming?
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Looks like there's no interest in continuing this. Locking.

Crown Description:
Problem #1: "Jackboot" does not have an immediate connotation of "facist/communist/totalitarian regime" for everyone. I never understood what "jackboot" had to do with Nazis and Communists until I finally decided to put it through Wikipedia and see what it was all about. Problem #2: Only 70 wicks and 20 inbounds for a premise that I could've sworn was used much more commonly by fiction-writers, which is not surprising with such an unclear trope name.
Adding searchable redirects?
