He went to Japan and visited Aokigahara, more commonly known as the suicide forest, and found and filmed the body of a suicide victim and basically said "Like if it makes you sad." and I guess he's refusing to take the video down.

Time for a seriously unpopular opinion: Doki Doki Literature Club is a bad game. It is not scary in any way. It's yet another one of those dime-a-dozen horror games that pretends to be cute and sweet at first but then it flips you off and starts hitting you with dark depressing morbid bullshit. It wasn't original when Eversion did it and it's not original now.

The actual plot is terrible too. Generic yandere archetype who knows she's in a video game rewrites the code so she can be with you over the other girls, causing glitchy effects that I guess are supposed to be horrifying and hyperrealistic body parts and shit. Huh. This sounds familiar. (By the way, hyperrealism in an otherwise cartoonish environment is not scary. I would argue it has never been scary. It is especially not scary now after years of third-rate creepypastas drove it into the ground. Hell, Photoshop Flowey—a character who's one huge mishmash of realistic parts—is not really intended to be scary, just freakish-looking and intimidating because he's a Reality Warper final boss at that point—but that's irrelevant.)

If you do like DDLC, that's fine. I'm not trying to change your opinion here, and I'm not insulting you for liking it. One rando on the internet shouldn't make you feel like less of a person because he doesn't like something you do. But I've seen nothing but praise for this game and I feel like it really isn't deserved at all. If it was a creepypasta, everyone would hate it for being a potpourri of clichés. Why is it any different in visual novel form? It just seems like a game for massively popular Let's Players to play so they can give exaggerated fake frightened reactions to everything mildly upsetting that happens. And the superfans who keep spamming memes about how Sayori kills herself really aren't helping.

In more important news this whole Logan Paul bullshit may seriously affect Japanese international relationships. The Japanese tend to be very racist and this whole thing is likely going to be turned into a reason why their racism is the right way to think. Even if it doesn't lead to something like boarders getting closed it's deffienntly going to encourage hostility towards non Japanese in the country.

I think not. The fact that many westerners are condemning him and the Japanese are a bit more trustworthy to Americans, it won't change their stances that much.

The stereotype in Japan of your average American is about to go from obese blonde blue-eyed jackass to obese blonde blue-eyed jackass who laughs at dead people.

I will see this very scenerio parodied in an anime years from now (or even next month, looking at the ridiculous turn-around they have), and cry a little.

I just bought Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse yesterday. I was going to wait for a discount but I decided to forgo that since it's such a good game.

Yes; almost everything on Toonami and Full Metal Panic. :)

I finished Madoka Magica a few days ago, it was quite the experience and I loved it. It's another anime that I recommend along with Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Ah, don't you just love the stress that comes with art classes? No? Eh, it's fine since I happen to be good at art.

I've actually been thinking of rewatching those two series! Been a really long while since I seen them. They even have movies I haven't looked at yet.

For me, as of lately, I've been watching Lucifer, which is one of the few live action series I've ever bothered to watch, and have recently started with Kyoukai no Kanata as well.
