Part of me wonders if it was meant to be during the pilot scene when the Noops and Pildit escape (especially since said scene just recycles a snippet of the title theme instrumental).
It's hard to say really, as the whole soundtrack was pretty overqualified for the story nature really (except the Urpney theme of course) and they never really gave much development to the heroes to utilise what was basically a love theme. Both scenes we mentioned lasted, what, five seconds long?
"Megattack's" ending in hindsight kinda strikes me as creepy as a Grand Finale, given how especially unpleasant the Urpneys' situation was in that season and it ended with all but the main four getting a Heel–Face Brainwashing. ("Return of the Nightmare Stone" isn't much better due to the Cliffhanger, while "Mr Blossom's Present" has a Downer Ending for both sides). "Urpjaws" wasn't a great finale, but it at least threw them a bone and had a palpable And the Adventure Continues ending.

I think I now know why German would get a release, when nobody else did.
Germany, allegedly houses a lot animation enthusiasts. And furries. WITH THEIR POWERS COMBINED...
The Dreamstone ran in a very favorable time slot back then.
IIRC it was 12:30 on RTL 2 which basically meant it would be the ideal slot to watch it after school/lunch but before you would go over to your friends to play and RTL 2 was big for cartoons back in the days, everything that aired in their 12:00-16:00 block was an instant Cult Classic.

It's strange since the show seemed to be popular in the UK, but still didn't get a lot of exposure. There was seldom any merchandise and it never really got reruns on ITV, meaning it sunk into obscurity outside for 90s buffs.
ALERT: After three years of inactivity, Monster Entertainment are now livestreaming more of the show on their Youtube channel:
And then they deleted the video. HOW NICE OF THEM.
They've reuploaded it now:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiXvoVKAqCe6LyoyzWWZOSQ/videos
They've also labelled that these are 'Original Quality' meaning no stretched 16:9 screen or strange twice-dubbed over soundtrack like the previous uploads.
Oh, and apparently they've reassured us that Megattack won't be missed through the six episode per stream setup.

How nice of them.
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I'm just happy we've finally got something.
Second stream started. We're at least getting all of Season One officially uploaded now.
Looks like it's Season Two this week.
How ironic that we might get the whole show in four weeks, after waiting nearly as many years.
Well that was unexpected.
No Dreamstone stream today, but they are streaming the first series of it's Quietly Performing Sister Show, Bimble's Bucket.

I am still UPSET the creator of Dreamstone envisioned that show without a clear end. And knowing this other one is even more repetitive and even more unending, makes me not want to watch it. Ever.
I don't mind the shows being episodic (they at least had subtle arcs here and there), so long as the concepts were being used in full. Both shows sort of had that same problem, not really giving focus to anything besides the bungling villains. Bimble's Bucket isn't quite as bad since it never really has that sense of grandeur that The Dreamstone did initially, so it works as a pantomime styled series, but still, Bimble and all the heroes' magic is still about as entertaining as a pile of bricks. What sort of satisfying closing can you give to a show where the bad guys are the only fun element?
As stated before, it looked like The Dreamstone twice over attempted for a closing if the show never continued (while still being open ended enough if it did) and it was hard to care. Who wanted it's sympathetic villains to be finally eliminated once and for all by it's unlikeable heroes?

I wouldn't call the heroes unlikable.
In the first season they kind of were due to the Urpneys' Villain Ball Magnet status and the heroes having a greater fondness for Unscrupulous Hero tactics (keeping in mind this was all over trying to ruin dreams and the Urpneys were killed over refusing to obey Zordrak, it was hard not to see some episodes like Blob's Incredible Plan as tall order Disproportionate Retribution).
After that they were less excessive and kinda just boring and lacked any real sympathetic qualities due to their somewhat Road Runner-ish luck and lack of personality, they still had that kind of priggish streak given Frizz and Nug were still The Drag-Along however.
Late Season Three and Four did TRY to make the Noops more likeable however, due to amping up their provocation and Sympathetic P.O.V. (and letting them do at least a bit of humour), even if they were still relatively bland compared to the Urpneys.
Bimble's Bucket was about the same as the transitional point era, with the exception of maybe Sploot, most of the bad guys were at least more willing, but Bimble was such a boring piece of cardboard compared to them it was hard not to root for the Sleazeans.

The rest of Season Two is being live streamed now.
First Season Three stream started.
Oh my god we've finally reached this point. The Dreamstone, Season 3, finally avaialble to view in English again through an official channel.
Yeah, their Facebook page asked fans to choose between more Dreamstone or Bimble's Bucket. Nearly all votes went to The Dreamstone.
I'm hoping we get to Season Four, which has only existed in very low quality uploads beforehand and had some of my favourite episodes.
So apparently they WERE up to something:

THE ENTIRE SERIES OFFICIALLY UPLOADED (though "The Voice of Zordrak" doesn't appear on the channel for some reason). It seems patience is indeed rewarded.

Oooooh, sweet! Finally, all of it, no waiting through a streaming schedule, no old VHS recordings. I can finally check out seasons 3 and 4 again!
So apparently now the account has taken down all the episodes besides the two part pilot.
They state they are doing some "house keeping" and will try to get everything back up as soon as possible, uploading a new episode every week.

May be of interest, they are doing a Kickstarter campaign for miniatures based on the series with an accompanying strategy game and RPG.
The Youtube account has also not only uploaded all the episodes again, but added some short interviews with a ton of a staff to mark the 30th anniversary.

Side note, but in retrospect, Into The Sunset honestly struck me as possibly meant for the season one finale. They even had Rufus and Amberly literally flying into the sunset on leaves. I almost wonder if it might have been used had the show not been renewed for a second season, since it gives a pretty strong Grand Finale vibe.
