Hm. The graphic novel is coming out in February and the book is coming out in October. Do you think that means the reboot is airing sometime before October/February? October is less than six months out and we are getting new information about tie-ins so it's not like they don't have time to hype it up for an October release...
There was a He-Man character called Ninjor you say?
Yes, there was. In fact, Power Rangers Ninjor was a reason why a new toy of He-Man Ninjor had to be released as "Ninja Warrior" since they didn't renew the copyright.
Same with Strongarm who had to be released as "Strong-Or" due to Transformers, Fisto being changed to "Battle Fist" due to Star Wars, and Double Trouble aka "Double Mischief", though I'm not 100% sure why. Skylanders?
The prequel comic for MOTU Revelation has been revealed -
Also the comic has an alternate cover from Mike Mignola, which is his usual stylized work. It works really well for Skeletor, not sure about He-Man.
Woof, if that Stjepan Šejić cover is what we have to go on in terms of visual aesthetic, then our eyes are in for a treat!
I love Mike Mignola's work, but what does he have against shoulders? His cover is beautifully designed and wonderfully creepy, but I mean, come on...shoulders, man.
Stjepan Šejić's work is always gorgeous.

According to this wiki, there are two He-man products being created at the same time, does anyone know what each one consists of?
Yes. Simply put:
- Masters of the Universe: Revelation is an Animesque Adult Animation continuation of the Flimation cartoon produced by Kevin Smith, featuring an all star voice cast.
- He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2021) is an All-CGI Cartoon sci-fi fantasy reboot aimed towards the usual boys 6-11 demo.
Both series are being produced for Netflix by Mattel, and information has slowly dropped over time since their announcements in 2019.

Any idea which will come out first?
As far as I'm aware, we don't.
Regarding Revelation, Kevin's been teasing a 2021 release where he notes "an announcement in the coming months". Very recently, we got news of its prequel comic starting on July 7 on a monthly basis until October.
Likewise, the 3DCG He-Man reboot doesn't have a release date, but two early tie-in books have dates from this October to February 2022.
Otherwise, it's up to people to make guesswork out of this limited information.

@Robbery That's just how he draws shoulders.
Don't know why but he always draws them as really sloping like that.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."When I saw a synopsis for a guide book based on the second Netflix He-Man series (the reboot), I can't help but notice they've gone and used Captain Planet's "The Power Is Yours" motto in the marketing.

I vaguely recalling the Filmation He-Man series using the tagline occasionally as a riff on He-Man's "I Have the Power!" call when finshing his transformation.
Huh. Interesting, the use of it in CP is the more widely known, was it used in TV ads or dialogue from the show?
I remember She-Ra outro having the line "we have the power, so can you"
The episode of The Toys That Made Us (that documentary needs a trope page) and the documentary The Power of Grayskull both mentioned “I have the power” as essentially an ethos for the franchise, since the kids they initially tested with were receptive to the idea of having the power and being freed from others ordering you around (because when you’re a kid, you’re pretty much taking orders from everyone). “I have the power” is supposed to be a universal statement for everyone, not just He-Man. This is just a way of expressing it.
Another book promoting the second Netflix show, promising 'exclusive lore' straight from the creative teams...so I presume that means the expanded material will have it's own unique aspects, which still have a basis in canon through Word of God
Was it confirmed somewhere that Revelations will be a limited series?
I remember that being a line in the theme song from Secret of the Sword, the film that introduced She-Ra.
Preview art of the comic seems to have been released, and it seems to confirm the changes to the designs are in fact minimal (such as He-Man having an H on his belt instead of the cross).
You know, watching Skeletor refer to himself as "Overlord of Evil" makes me wonder: Can Card-Carrying Villain work in the semi-serious setting?
Usually, people only openly call themselves bad guys in silly settings like Sonic Boom or Wander Over Yonder or in more meta-narrative where being a villain is basically a job like Venture Bros or OK KO. The closest I can think of are Decepticons who aren't openly-openly evil but they seem to be pretty aware of how it works.
I wonder could it be made to work? Perhaps, during the Great Unrest things changed. In those hard times, a new creed was born, formed by people who decided that if they want to win, if they don't want to be victims, they must renounce all empathy for their fellow man.
I saw plenty of Card-Carrying Villain types in serious media, ususally its those villains, who openly admit that they are the only ones, who will benefit from their evil schemes and have no illusions about being well intentioned or loving anyone, other than themselves.
Off the top of my head.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed (1998), The Dresden Files, among others all have serious villains who are rather open about being evil and enjoying themselves.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Then there is Aku, shapeshifting master of darkness who is literally Made of Evil and jumps between comical and horrifying.
Wake me up at your own risk.
That would be an interesting update on Trolla.
And sure, why not. Man-At-Arms, Rio Blast, Trapjaw, Tri-Klops are all likely suspects.
I hope we finally get a cartoon that adopts the whole original toyline. The First cartoon was canceled when the toys were still coming out and 2002 had a too short run. It would be cool to see obscure heroes like Rio Blast, Snout Spout, or Extendar or baddies like Blast-Attak, Ninjor, or Scareglow.
