Dude, I read Berserk.
I don't think Psycho-Pass is really gonna mess me up any harder than that does.

Amita: Honestly, I havĂȘ no problem with the Sawano suggestion.
I mean, just listen to this.
It's gorgeous I tell you. Gorgeous, touching and emotional.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Oh, he can do epic and emotional at the same time.
Hiroyuki Sawano is a fucking musical genius. Nobody can outdo him. Nobody.
I don't have anything against Shiro Sagisu, mind you. He's just not on the same tier as Sawano.
Great themes, they really are...
But personally, I have more reverence for Kohei Tanaka.
To be fair, I don't even know Guilty Crown and that song x[whatever] linked is getting to me, but G Gundam's Feelings and, even moreso, Holding a Wounded Dream just have too much of a pull on me.

Piano, huh? Sawano's got that covered too.
I feel this particular song would go well with Shinji's state of mind after Q.

Part of it is that I just have a lot of experience being awed by Tanaka-sensei (G Gundam, Gao Gai Gar, Gunbuster and Diebuster), where I don't know that I've actually watched a show/played a game with Suwano music in it.
He's done a couple of soundtracks, so you might've heard him. He's got a very distinctive polyrhythmic style, instantly recognizable from the fluidly changing percussion. And he does everything: vocal, choral, orchestral, rock, electronic, he mixes all of these.
...okay then, yeah, I know him through Kill La Kill and Attack On Titan. I don't remember much of the music from Blue Exorcist, except for the first OP.
As you've seen, he also did the OST for Gundam Unicorn. And it's frickin' amazing.
Just tell me this wouldn't go well with Rebuild 2.0's finale.
Yeah, I saw that... but I only saw the first few OV As of it, and that was probably a year or so ago, so I don't remember a whole lot of it.
Hey, would any of you guys have any use for this epic music track from Aldnoah.Zero in any of your EVA fics?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I don't expect that I will, no.
Whoever posted that video cut down the first 1:40 of the song. Here is the full version. And yes, I have an idea in that regard.
Speaking of Aldnoah Zero, I've developed a definite liking of the second ED, Genesis. It sounds like it would be a very good OP song on its own. Can't find any non-nightcore rendition, though.

I mean, if you've ever wanted to see a movie that really underscores war as tragedy, that lingers on the waste and the desperation of it without dismissing the courage it takes, Gettysburg pretty much is that movie. Most anime swaps tracks based on who's winning and losing; the soundtrack picks a side. Gettysburg was deliberately scored, with tracks like Charging Up The Hill or The First Battle, such that soundtrack doesn't have a side; it ebbs and flows with the action, it's neutral, and it's well-suited to the kind of back-and-forth we usually get in an Evangelion vs. Angel battle.
It's eminently suited to the themes of Evangelion.
Nous restons ici.If Kaworu's theme song is Ode to Joy, how about this for Zeruel?
...too strongly associated with Outpost in my mind to work. Besides, I tend to think Angel's favorite music should sound terrible to us unless it's the humaniform ones; they're alien. Something discordant and jarring and screechy.

Nous restons ici.I don't know... that section at 4:24 evokes in me an image of Zeruel Strolling Through the Chaos while being shot at with ridiculous amounts of dakka, unflinching and unstoppable. All the explosions around him illuminate his skullface with a hellish red glow, everyone gunning at him scream in frustrated desperation... and he just keeps going.
Glory be to the Might of God... for none may best He who is excellence in all things.

@ Night: Outpost the videogame? Tell me more about it, please.
Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often. There's this post-EOE fic whose title I seem to have forgotten, in which Asuka has a mechanically-powered prosthetic arm to replace the one she lost (I somehow remember the one unique detail in that it's not attached to a stump, because there is no proper stump; the best way I can describe it is that the complex prosthetic was "sewn" into the "strips" of flesh that form the "end" of her ruined arm above the elbow region), is IINM either practically blind in one eye or said eye is permanently discolored from the trauma it suffered, and is even more of a cold bitch towards everyone (but especially towards Shinji) than she ever was. Toji, who naturally also has his own prosthetic leg (and maybe arm, I don't know remember), has gotten fed up with her abusive behavior, especially since he already suspects that she's being in denial of her actual feelings towards Shinji, and decides to do something about... by cornering her in the kitchen when Shinji isn't around, and basically making a false threat while pretty much immobilizing her by the arms. The "fight", if you could call it that, gets as far as Asuka being about to push her prosthetic arm beyond its limits (IINM it actually starts releasing steam from being overworked, surprising Toji)... and actually leads to Asuka undergoing some Character Development.
Does anyone recognize this story?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The original? It was a disaster. It shipped without a large number of its advertized features, even the ones that in the strategy guide. Still, it had a pretty neat setup and a lot of depth to it even so, at least when I was 12 (though I still enjoy it, when I can make it run)...it just wasn't what it should have been. If you enjoy Tropico in the modern era then you'd probably like Outpost 1's resource-juggling/morale/housing issues. It also had a very memorable set of cinematics set to Mars, Bringer of War.
Outpost 2 got it from both sides; those who knew the original Outpost never bought it, those who didn't thought it looked like a crappy Command and Conquer clone. It wasn't really either. While simplified in a lot of ways, most of the features that Outpost 1 had to cut were in Outpost 2, and it still had the core colony survival mechanics of managing housing, food, morale, and research for your colony to keep it working. Add to that a need to defend yourself against a hostile colony's attacks, and in the single-player campaigns usually a hard time limit before the rogue terraforming Green Goo eats your colony or volcanic eruptions get you. It also had an excellent skirmish-mode type of game as well. (though not an actual skirmish mode...) I still play Outpost 2 pretty regular, admittedly with a lot of the extra Colony Game maps that the community put out down the years. (Eden4lyfe, death2all Plymouth.)

Nous restons ici.Ah, that Outpost. The Novella was, perhaps, the best part - although, the morale/resource/housing juggling was quite fun as well.
So, you're saying there are custom maps for it? Where can I find those? Are there any mods or whatever for the original Outpost that make it playable? I don't remember if I ever got that one to work.
Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.Outpost Universe's version of the game has some extra colony game things. Might be able to dig more or campaigns out of the forums, if you can find working downloads on them.
Nous restons ici.Wonderful! Thank you.

I warn you: only watch Psycho Pass if you have a strong stomach.
