And the Hellbat armor is the only way that Batman could put up a fight against Black Panther or Spider-man. Doesn't mean he gets it.
This isn't about what'd be fair in an actual episode and this is more spinning off the discussion of which individual Link could give Cloud the best fight, though.
Makes sense it'd be HW Link since he's more-or-less capable of all the bullshit Death Battle gave him in the original fight (i.e. he twirls the obsidian pillars around like parade batons, most attacks in the game being blockable means he probably scales to something really dumb from one of the "canon" characters, he can spam toss twenty Bombs at once, he still has Z-Targeting...)
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI'm honestly confused about which matchup you are talking about.
Mhmm. I honestly thought Link V Cloud DB was silly at first, but then Warriors Link came around and was like "Yeah I totally CAN do that shit."

Bleye knows Sabers.I do wonder, how would Death Battle handle canon the physically no longer exists? Lets say Ben felt that the research team needed to suffer, and picked a doctor who character. How would they deal with episodes of which there is no surviving evidence?
they'd not make such an episode?
After comparing them all, Dissidia's Supernova is definitely patterned after the international version, not the original. That expanding sun explosion is pretty distinct.
"Nay-Oh-Toh"
"Yukuri"
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Should have known I'd hear bad pronunciations.
Didn't think we'd see Akechi outrunning Naoto's bullet in there from Q2.

Lelouch is fabulous. Imma Xehanort on You Tube, Twitter, and Gamefaqs.Looking at the whole animation, Akechi seems to land a hit first before the bullet can land. Even if he can't outrun a bullet, he can definitely keep up with one.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I mean, yeah. In terms of Persona 5, keeping up with a bullet is on the very low side for them.
Mits'roo...
I'm a fan of both Persona and RWBY, so I would have been happy either way. I was totally thinking Weiss would win because I thought of Persona users as just normal humans (one Persona 3 party member is killed by a single bullet, so a good stab from Weiss' rapier should have a similar effect), but they do have pretty crazy durability feats too, making that anti-feat more of an outlier (Gameplay and Story Segregation is in full effect there, as during fights against the gun-user, his shots do minimal damage).
As for next week's fight, I don't know much about Captain Falcon's feats except for his Memetic Badass ones which surely won't be seriously taken into account. All I know is that he punched a bomb powerful enough to create a galaxy-size explosion, but I don't think he actually survived the blast so that's not much of a durability feat.
He didn't punch a bomb, he punched someone to prevent them from escaping the explosion.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Well, this might be able to give us some insight on Captain Falcon's abilities. Done by one of the researchers, too.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Welp, we have a new replacement for Twilight and Raven for tamest death in Death Battle history. I don't think I even saw a single drop of blood from Weiss in the entire fight, and they wouldn't even show the body hit the ground. Mitsuru ended up doing more visible damage to herself than she did to Weiss.

Look, Weiss lost alright; let's not nitpick.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The setup looked like a regular sparring. Did she even kill Weiss?
Uni catYou know, I'm used to more recent battles starting with an introduction for why they're fighting, so for this one to skip it felt pretty weird for me.
Still, solid episode, though I'm not sure if Weiss even died tbh.
If the question of "did they even die" comes up in Death Battle (Outside of the one time they did that intentionally), thats kind of a fuck up.
Well, it is accurate to her Instant Kill in Persona 4 Arena.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Imagine caring this much about the violence of an animation.
For what it's worth, I can't verify myself but in the commentary for the episode they mention the finisher used to be a bit more... err, typical? of the series. It got changed for "not matching the tone of the characters" but lots of people are speculating that's their coverup for the Executive Meddling everyone assumed it was.
Now, me? I don't watch the series any more, can't say I cared for the gratuitous violence when I did though. But it is kinda funny that one of you mentioned the fight being bloodless, considering Weiss's first appearance featured her getting a gash over her eye (and that's why she has a scar in RWBY proper.)

I ain't compositing nothing. Warriors Link is someone I think could give Cloud a pretty even fight, given he's a tireless whirlwind of army-destroying might with a huge arsenal of weapons and gear. Breath of the Wild Link is only one step above Action Survivor, so he just can't compare to someone like Cloud. Botw Link does have his advantages; he's a smart and skilled fighter, but ultimately I don't think he can compare to someone who can summon the god of lightning as a pet.
