I can just imagine orks coming up to him because he's so big and angry. "LEAVE HULK ALONE!" Hulk Smash! And yet it just attracts more of 'em...

Agreed. Though Renegade Shepard would probably end up falling to Chaos after grabbing a daemon weapon or something.

Ezekiel, I hate to tell you this, but You Fail Astrophysics Forever.

Then how about you... don't? It was an obvious joke. I don't know if you don't get the idea or if you just want me to hate you but either way, that was completely pointless.

Dammit, now I'm imagining the Hulk as a tsundere in a cliche harem anime.

Can't think of many characters, to tell the truth.

Well, except maybe a certain old orc who can't stand the squealing of pigs. Or a certain tattooed purple lady who disappointed her mother by deciding not to be an artisan.

Honestly, I can see a lot of the midrange and up superhero/villain-type characters doing just fine, at least as long as they were willing to do the World Of Cardboard thing soon enough. Superman's faced down stuff that's a match for anything that 40k can throw at him and worse (albeit not quite on the same sheer scale, admittedly), and if you let him bring the rest of the League with him... yeah. Although it would be funny to watch Tzeentch and Batman trying to out-Xanatos Speed Chess one another (of course, that's Depending on the Writer... Batman ranges from 'extremely clever but still fallible mere mortal' to 'with enough prep time, could take out God without breaking a sweat'). But yeah, the League- especially at its largest- could hand the 40k galaxy a face-kicking that it would take a long, long time to recover from.

As to how well they'd survive... hrm. That would really depend on how many of their usual resources they were allowed to bring with them. The Watchtower, the Fortress of Solitude, the Batcave... heck, the entirety of the DCU Earth? Could get interesting in a hurry. Especially when you take into account the dozens of ways known on DC Earth for FTL travel that don't use the Warp...

The Authority running around there would also get... interesting... in a hurry (speaking of which, wonder what we'd get for a Jenny in the 41st century? Jenny Warp? *shudder*). Particularly if they took all their members, including the ship.

Doctor Doom would probably wind up either creating or being a new Chaos god within a week. Either that or he'd steal the God-Emperor's power and lead the Imperium of Man on a glorious and bloody crusade that would lead that galaxy into a new golden age, since he wouldn't be a villain there, and thus wouldn't be guaranteed to lose.

Heh. Speaking of which, if the Fantastic Four got loose in there... if they could keep their heads down for... eh, call it a month... Reed Richards, useless or not, would have reverse-engineered everything the Imperium had to offer, and probably all the other cultures as well, amalgamated it with his own tech, Kree, Skrull, Shi'ar, Badoon, Asgardian, and who knows what else, created an utterly indestructable and unstoppable battlewagon to deliver the team, and they'd go and spank the Eye of Chaos into submission, turn it into a Negative Space Wedgie to suck the Necrons into some lifeless galaxy too far away to bug anyone else, feed whatever shredded remnants of Chaos remained to Galactus, introduce the Dark Eldar to reality television (gleefully occupying them for the rest of eternity and acting as Laser-Guided Karma as well)...

The Color Corps War suddenly getting dumped into the 40k 'verse would be amusing as well. It's debatable which side would end up as collateral to the other, especially if the Black Lanterns were involved as well >.O

Proposal: The Green Scar leading the grandest WAAAGH of all against Chaos. (Or some other unambiguous bad guys.) Occasionally, he turns into the Gray Hulk, which the Orks interpret as channeling Mork instead of Gork. Some Orks see him as the epitome of Orkiness (big, green, angry, strong, practically unbeatable) while others say he isn't even Orky at all (going against the internal genetic sense they have, and, more importantly, no tusks.)

He is stalked by the Swarmlord, which gets stronger and smarter every time he kills it, because the Hive Mind desires his DNA. Even the little bits that they have been able to recover from the blood he sometimes leaves at battle sites has allowed the Tyranids to create several terrifying new strains.

... *chuckle*

Tagon's Toughs loose in the 40k 'verse? Now that would be funny. Especially once they got ahold of some of the 40k tech- I'm sure Ennesby and Kevyn working together could cobble together some uber-weaponry out of it, especially if they had a fabber on hand.

And as far as Schlock getting hosed with plasma...

I suspect the first thing the Toughs would do after figuring out the situation would be to teraport the frak out of Imperial space. More opportunities for employment.

"They'd probably end up working for a Rogue Trader. "

SOMEONE, FUND IT!

Alex Mercer could survive it, provided he avoided chaos like the plague, by virtue of being nigh-invulnerable. Granted, he wouldn't live HAPPLY... maybe if he worked with the Tau?

The crew of the enterprise would be fine if they stayed on their gunboat, seeing as their ship might outgun SOME of the imperial warships and they would outspeed everything except necrons by a huge extent. Not relying on warp sapce for FTL would also be a huge boon...

Any of the critters from Zoo Fights, provided they made it to pre-semifinals, would also be fine.

[up][up] While it may take months or years for some of the longer journeys across the Imperium remember that without shortcuts or some form of Transwarp drives it can take decades for a Federation starship to cross comparable distances.

I think it was meant that the Enterprise is faster than just about anything 40k has to offer at slower-than-light speeds, since impulse engines can quite casually cruise around at 0.99c and mostly don't to avoid annoying relativistic problems. Although I'm not certain on that, since most of my exposure to 40k is secondhand.

The Tick would be amusing to have wandering around- he's the Trope Namer for Nigh-Invulnerable, after all, and his general Cloud Cuckoo Lander nature and tendency to deliver well-meaning (if somewhat incoherent) lectures about JUSTICE! to all and sundry would likely lead to many a Crowning Moment Of Funny.

[up] Actually according to the assorted tech manuals, a Galaxy class starship's full impulse speed is about 0.25c. Given that their inertial compensators allow them to go from full stop to full impulse in nothing flat they'd probably still maintain the edge in maneuverability and turning.

Though on a tactical level the fact that they can make very short, in system, hops in warp with only the need to make sure they don't come out too close to a planet would be more useful since most 40k forces can take hours to days to make a planet after coming out of the warp. Especially if you can pull of the Picard Maneuver.

Planeswalkers will be interesting, especially the pre-mending ones with broken combos like Time Vault + Voltaic Key. Phyrexia will be interesting as well (compleated Tyrannids, anyone? Also Yawgmoth meeting Chaos...).

Other contenders include: Great Old Ones (who can rewrite reality from a fundamental level), Bad Wolf and maybe the Eternals from Doctor Who

Planeswalkers? Yet another reason why the 41st millenium is frakked up.

Yeah, the eye of Chaos? That's a planar rift.

If Superman turned up, I think there'd be another civil war. If he had the whole origin story- turns up on some planet, looks completely normal, super strong...parents are highly religious Imperial servants and so take him to be the second coming of the Emperor and by the age of 16 he rules the entire planet.
