Well, Cygan was wondering why there wasn't one, so I made it. I guess we can talk about queer stuff. :3
(*LGBTQ+ Solidarity huggles*)
Oh, and if you're wondering, non-queer folks are welcome too.

DBL remember some people are just bad at working out the gender of people, it’s a them issue not a you issue.
I’m cis and I get missgendered every so often (even had someone gender me correctly then ‘correct’ themself), people can just be bad at it, especially strangers.
It’s them, not you.

"Yup. That tasted purple."So my plan to come out to my mom as nonbinary at the pride parade this year is a bust because her work decided to do Dallas instead of Tarrant County pride, and that was earlier this month
*hug*
"Yup. That tasted purple."hi there, i'm alice and i'm a 22 year old lesbian from buttfuck alberta where it's already snowing
um, i'm just wondering if anyone has had the experience of having to come out "twice." as in, you identified as one thing and came out, but then realized you were something else and decided to come out again. because i came out as bi when i was 16, and now i've realized i'm actually a lesbian. i want to tell my parents, but i'm worried they'll use it as ammunition to claim i'm "going through a phase" again.
i know it'll be hard for them to accept but i want to tell them... any tips on how to even approach the subject would be just lovely
And you get wished into nonexistence, and you get wished into nonexistence!Hello!
HiNothing you can do but tell them the truth. Hopefully they manage to see it as part of an evolution even if they don't understand the subject very well. Explain to them how it's not a light switch that suddenly turns on, but a gradual process in discovering who you are (at least for me it was) and only now did you reach the conclusion.
Life is unfair...Hello, fellow Alice!
Uh, no tips, sorry. :(
The awful things he says and does are burned into our cultural consciousness like a CRT display left on the same picture too long. -FighteerI've had to come our three times:
- As aroace.
- As trans (not contradicting the first)
- As an ace lesbian
Generally, do it the same way you came out the first time (begin with the people you trust the most, etc) and be ready for the questions. Also try to keep track of who you're out to and "out" to. I forgot to come out as lesbian to my parents and that ended up being far more awkward than it needed to be.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI just avoid formal coming out and reveal things piecemeal. It became fairly clear I wasn't into women so pretty much anyone I would have told figured that out on their own. Once I finally accepted I was into guys, I mentioned it when it came up naturally and once I actually got a boyfriend. I mostly just say "I'm gay" if I want to get it over with quickly and I don't think it's worth explaining any further. Generally if I know someone is accepting (mostly other queer people), then I might tell them the bits I'm not certain of, like the distinction between gay and homoromantic asexual (a label I'm still not entirely sure of), attraction to genderqueer people (which is really more of a semantics thing than anything else), the masculinity and identity issues, etc. Which can get awkward but does mean I don't really have to come out twice except to people who I'm fairly certain would understand.
So on thursday of last week, I've joined AVEN.
HiHave you guys known about Noodles and Beef? He seems to be talked around lately by the muscle/bara sections of by both the gay and furry communities, and it's... not good.

ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔I never heard about it. Why is it not good?
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterI hate to be the bearer of bad news to the uninformed, especially that it's Spirit Day, but in my simple understanding, he's a guy from California who underwent implants on his muscles to make him look "beefier". And as he's also into BDSM, he also did the same thing to his "pups".
He has been a controversial person lately, due to how he treated them, and two of them died due to a slew of abuse and complications from those implants; one died this week, and N&B tried to cover up his death.
Both the gay and furry communities on social media platforms took notice.

A webcomic I've mentioned before is giving some focus to its main transgender character, Zoe, such as her little cousin making sure she's getting her name right (and thinking it's cooler than her boring name)

I've always felt that anyone, even cis people, should be encouraged to change their name if they don't like it.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Speaking of Spirit Day, does it have a fixed date? I always thought it's been observed every 20th of October, but when I checked Twitter, it was in the 18th.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Yeah, it happened yesterday. I was gonna draw something for it, but I forgot. :(
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterThe Romones ARE better than The Sex Pistols and Moterhead. However if we're doing classic punk recommendations I'd also like to shout out to The Clash and Dead Kennedys. And that's not even touching on Revival Punk which is chef's kiss
Big fan of Skullhead. I love it when this comic uses its infinite knowlage of music trivia for my favorite genre.
Momo's hair looks great! Short bangs are risky, but if they pay off they're good. I like them especially with her pig tails, she actually looks a bit like her original hardware.
Also, fun to see Bubbles be the one on thew end of the irresponsible stick. But is that her knife she just has on her at all times? Or the workshop knife?
I believe you intended that for the QC thread.
(Yeah, that's way off topic.)
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterOut of curiousity, was Spirit Day or Spirit Day like Pride Month in October?
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔It's an awareness campaign against bullying and resulting suicides of LGBT/Queer people.
Plus when I blew up here I was still coming back from trying not to end up with a full blown panic attack from being wedged into a train full of loud drunks. And in a fair amount of pain because I hadn't properly broken in the boots I was wearing so they'd rubbed my feet to hell.
