Couldn't there be a more concise title, Blasphemy Backfire or Blasphemy Boast or something?
We already have Blasphemous Boast.
Perhaps I Am Your God, or Your God Is Right Here? (As in, "Where Is Your God Now?")

The first one could be mistaken as just telling someone that "A God Am I".
Although maybe I'm being paranoid.
I like the name myself, (mainly because I thought it was an awesome), It definitely an example at least
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelI don't see how it's particularly ironic.
To be one of those negative people, Who's "Oh my God?" doesn't display this trope, it's the same mistake as the picture and if the picture hasn't changed by then it would probably result in the trope changing to any time someone makes a joke of someone blaspheming.
"Oh my God?" "Yes?" is entirely reliant on the punctuation as someone pointed out and is actually something a bit different without it, so I'm not in favour of that.
Oh My God Yes My Son kinda works. A little bit like it's talking about when actually addressing someone like Jesus who just happens to be around in the setting, but it could work I guess and is probably better than what we have.
Oh My God? Smith Will Suffice, works. Maybe God! Smith will suffice. would work better although its being a little sneaky with the quote.
3.57 to 1 and it's been up a while. Can this be called now and an alt titles crowner hooked please?
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.New crowner hooked.
I've seen remarks from Eddie that trope titles shouldn't look like a dialogue sentence. Perhaps we should ask him whether a trope name like "oh my god" "yes" is okay?
Stock phrases are bad when there's no trope, its just a list of the phrase. And stock phrase titles are fine if we can't think of a better one.
The only non-phrase title we came up with is voted way down.
Yeah, the problem here wasn't that it's a dialogue title, but that it doesn't give any indication as to what the trope is unless you know more of the conversation.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Goddamn Alanis and her stupid song that's made people overreact and adopt overly narrow definitions of "ironic". Here's Websters on Irony:
1. a. The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning. b. An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning. c. A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect. See Synonyms at wit(1).
2. a. Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs: "Hyde noted the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated" (Richard Kain). b. An occurrence, result, or circumstance notable for such incongruity. See Usage Note at ironic.
(The usage note basically clarifies that mere coincidences are not implicitly ironic. Take That!, Alanis!)
This is ironic because there is a strong incongruity between what might be expected and what actually happens (def. 2, a or b). A mild oath or ejaculation is not intended to be interpreted as an address, so responding as if it were is incongruous and unexpected — ironic — humor.
But if misguided word-peevers really have that much trouble with it, then maybe Sarcastic Deification would be better/less controversial.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Uh...maybe its just me, but I voted Ironic Deification down, and I never thought it was wrong, just non-indicative. Sarcastic Deification is better, but I still say the others are easier to understand.

Just add them to the crowner if you like.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. My Name Is Not God seems fitting, as it fits the naming of My Name Is Not Durwood as well as similarly named tropes like I Am Not Shazam and I Am Not Spock.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartNot, really, since those tropes are the assumption of the speaker, not the listener. That's why I find "I Am Not "Oh My God"" the best.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. We have a problem here. The crowner has been running for over 3 months, and at this moment there isn't a single result with a Positive total.
Answers to the Name of God seems more like someone who obeys what he or she believes "god's laws" are. It would be a very misleading name for a trope like this.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartAnyway, My Name Is Not God is 5 points in the lead. I'd suggest we go with it.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartWinner is disqualified. It sounds like dialog. The trope needs a name, not a title.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyDoes that mean that all these suggestions are disqualified, and is there some way to remove them from the crowner?
- No Need To Call Me God
- My Name Is Not God
- I am not "Oh My God"
- Yes My Son?
- "Oh My God" "Yes?"
- "Oh My God" "Yes My Son"
- "Oh My God" "Smith Will Suffice"
- I Am Not Your God
- My Name Is Not Jesus
- I Am Not Jesus
Crown Description:
Note: no dialog-like titles are allowed on the crowner!
I think renaming it "Oh God" "Smith will suffice" (with the help of custom titles) would help. Keep the trope namer and inbounds.
