I think the first time it wasn't even there that he was doing anything at all, and you might have forgotten to write it and come back a couple hours later and remembered.

Ah well. This sort of thing happens.

Can I assume that the coffee shop is far enough away from the restaurant that someone going to the restaurant would not notice the commotion of the coffee shop?

Once Taggart kills Wilhelm (Which I note has been cleared by Snowy Foxes in a brief PM correspondance), then it may be likely the commotion will be heard, because Taggart's rifle is not suppressed.

Somewhat distant gunfire can be avoided, I guess.

Wilhelm is still trying to fight for his life, but he's definitely losing.

Edit: Unlike my characterization fudge over Alex's death when Cain tried to save him, this is quite in-character for the Poolboys to do this. Of course, generally when people try to attack them, it's usually to kill them. The song I linked applies not only to Wilhelm.

@ Night: just how well armoured is the hard suit? M80 ball, which is quite possibly what is being used, isn't the most spectacularly performing anti-armour round.

In an attempt to restart some sort of discussion on Archipelago, I've decided that I'd dump what I had in mind for the combined thread here.

The casual area for my idea was an inn, with everything that entails. However, said inn is similar in design to the Sparrow Inn. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the Sparrow Inn is a normal building at first glance (apart from who's running it) that's fairly lighthearted for the most part, but if one takes a back entrance they'll find a forested area where more serious things happen.

The outside area for my inn was a bamboo forest (in fact, the entire thing has an Asian aesthetic to it). In particular, out back there's a Torii that serves as a portal. The world on the other side of the Torii is the non-casual part of the thread where serious stuff can happen.

An inn probably isn't the best idea for a setting (considering that Mansion is very similar to an inn in concept), but it's an idea for a different setting than the islands. I actually like the idea of a forested setting since a particularly big forest can hide a lot of things (ruins, caves, etc.) and have a really nice atmosphere.

On City: KC, would you mind warning me when you're ready to sic the Eyes and Teeth on Uffern? I have my own plans for that meeting, but I think there should be some discussion beforehand so that neither of the two gets too derailed and so that the end result is as mutually interesting as it can be.

Pretty much sitting here, twiddling my thumbs, waiting for KC.

Damn, I should have said something about Ralph/Loren/Simon's ID card sticking out of their clothing/armor. Would of allowed me to do some exposition.

The reason it hasn't attacked Uffern yet is that it's worried he'll get away like its last snack did. It doesn't have enough time stolen to keep looping (its timer keeps counting down with every time it reverses time), so it wants to have Uffern pinned before it strikes.

If Kokabiel makes it to the tower first, though, it will do something about that instead, possibly even seeking Uffern's help if things get... interesting.

Does the tunnel lead to the outside of the bank?

Gault, you've kind of rushed ahead with the bank escape without addressing my last post, and now I've got no idea how to proceed.

While this is true, in the home setting using the best AP ammo available is almost mandatory because of the ubiquity of mechanical targets. Linna's suit can bounce rifle fire all day or withstand a small number of .50 BMG hits (though they'll cause the person wearing it balance problems; mass and velocity are still mass and velocity).

The K-12Z that Micheal is wearing can soak most RPG-type weapons, though as noted earlier in the thread it has an active defense system designed to detonate rockets and missiles short of the suit or cause kinetic penetrators to tumble and lose their effectiveness. (And also blind people.)

Also, on Archipelago.

I'd vote for something like described, if only so we do temperate forest rather tropical rain.

Right now Bianca kind of looks like this◊ and yes, her hair is in a bun and I didn't draw her face because I'm a lazy butt.

I'll probably add in another character tomorrow after school.

I was kind of hoping she really didn't have a face, then she and Linna's armor could hang out together as the Faceless Awesome Girls Club.

Large forests?

Forests are cool. Always places for things to hide and things to lurk there.
