Peter. No question.
Peter.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntPeter. Homer might went from carring, but Bumbling Dad into Jerkass territory in recent seasons, but Peter is outright abusive towards everybody in his family.

You have a point e X. One of the worst things Peter's ever done was his way of bonding with Stewie. Peter amused Stewie by hurting Lois for no reason, by hitting her on the head with canned goods, and sneaking the hose into the bathroom when she does her business. and even shoves her in the car trunk. I, for sure would NEVER EVER abuse a beautiful girl like Lois. What is in Peter's brain?

What, you're perfectly okay with abusing ugly women?
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntPeter.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Peter
Homer is, finaly, returning to his kind, but incredibl stupid, roots. Personally I blame Peter, and the popularity of Family Guy,for the Jerkass Homer of the last few years .
"If you make people think they’re thinking, they’ll love you; but if you really make them think, they’ll hate you." —Don MarquisYeah, what Arilou...
Peter, no question. Homer at least whenever he acts like a complete moron or Jerkass, at least tries very very hard by the end of the episode to right any misdeed he did. Just look at The Simpsons Movie and tell me that man isn't still completely devoted to his family.
I've only seen a couple of episodes of Family Guy but I already know Peter is much more cruel and sadistic than Homer ever was. Yes Homer strangles Bart whenever he's angry, but look at how many times Peter outright abuses his family members simply for his own stupid enjoyment.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Jesus, you need to ask? Peter, no question.
Peter, hands down.
Darth Vader. Or Peter. Whichever.

This is still a signature. He was somewhat more caring in the pre-cancellation episodes (like the one with Luke Perry for example. Sure it's in his own clumsy, idiotic way but it seems so weird now to see an episode where he cares that much about helping Meg!), though overall he is hands down worse than Homer.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!Actually, I'd say Darth Vader is a much more loving father than Peter is. At least he had a Heel–Face Turn.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Maybe. I haven't watched Family Guy in a long long time. It misses are more than it hits.
This is still a signature.Peter, definitely. Homer at least shows some affection for his children (his bonding with Lisa and Maggie have made for great material on the show).
As for Jerkass Homer, I think it was more merchandising than Family Guy that caused that. A lot of the Homer merchandise depicts him as a jerk and the writers probably figured that is what the audience wanted so they wrote him that way.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/The problem with all the characters on Family Guy is that they are prone to do anything for a story or joke, with the exception of Quagmire they don't really have a set characterization. Because of that Peter just does whatever is considered to be funny, regardless of the moral implications or standard portrayal.
The Simpsons will push the characters out of their comfort zone at times, but in general the humor comes from their base personality. Homer is a moron but he has always loved his family more than anything else. If something comes to harm his family he puts aside everything to help them.
Peter is the worst. Homer on the other hand has his moments where he is a good father, to a point where he can be an idiot most of the time.
Pretty much every single vote will be Peter.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DEven at his worst, Homer still cares about his family. Peter is just so irredeemably repugnant and stupid.

Peter, no contest.
Any abuse Homer gives his family is generally due to his idiocy, or selfishness. But he's capable of realizing when he's gone too far. Point is, it's never intentional. Peter often does it very intentionally.
Okay, other question: Who is the worst father: Peter or Stan? Both have moments where they care about their family. Yes. But Stan's gone so far as to stick his family in experimental memory alteration pods to avoid going on vacations with them, knowingly rendering his daughter infertile in the process. Stan's been willing to consider murdering his family members to avoid slights to his ego.

Peter again. Stan comes across as clueless and egotistical, but generally well-meaning. Even at his worst he's never as sadistic as Peter.
Phillip J. Fry.
At least Peter stayed in the same century.
Anyway, Homer is Angry Dad. Stan is Self-Absorbed Dad brainwashed with Faux Patriotism. Peter is Sociopathic Dad.
Peter Griffin.
Fry never abused his son/dad. So no :-P
You're saying that Peter's worse than Homer. OK, so he abuses Meg a lot by beating her up, sitting and farting on her face and shooting her on the forehead, but don't forget that in one episode, Peter even made Chris feel bad about his weight by getting liposuction to make himself thinner, and exploits the situation by getting more surgery and becoming a muscular, macho man, making Chris' self hatred worse, and STILL Peter doesn't learn his valuable lesson at the end, even after he had his comeuppance. So I've got to say that Peter takes the cake. And remember, not only that he make Meg unlovable, he makes Chris feel bad about himself and Chris finally stood up to his father by yelling "SCREW YOU DAD!!!" (I didn't want to say it the more "colorful" way)
