Professor Hawthorn: Yeah, I kind of figured your name reminded me of something. I used to watch kaiju movies as a kid all the time. It's what got me excited when my old company started work on de-extinction in the 90s. The ones with Mothra were always my favorites.

He looks at Ian again.

Professor Hawthorn: Always a pleasure to see a fan of old classics like the old [Toei] monster films. Of course, we probably would not need to talk about the 90s version unless it's the cartoon. My daughter and I think it's better than the movie it was based on.

Professor Hawthorn: My ancestor, Sir Guiscard. He did come back as a honedge and he's been living with me ever since. He was indeed a knight, and he served during a rather chaotic period of Kalos' history.

Sir Guiscard: <Ah, the old ways still live. And so motivated, too. One does not expect to serve royal families directly back in the day, but it was always an honor to be assigned to their protection and maybe have a little romance on the side. Professor Hawthorn, to the Mew Lady: It took a while, of course, but my family and I managed to adapt. If it weren't for this place, though, I'd still have astronomically high clothing bills. Apparently, becoming naked is not supposed to happen, but those creeps... somehow led to my own stripe of lycanthropy going all sorts of wrong. You don't happened to have underwear with tail holes that are fireproof in stock, would you?

Deziree: Hold on, hold on, I'll explain the fine details about the City of Spirit in a second.

-Dune sets up a table and Deziree sets the three boxes down before opening their lids to show four packs, each with maps and little short-band radio earpieces.-

Deziree: Three cities. The City of Spirit is the dangerous one - the book mentioned something about "testing ground" and "none shall attack" and stuff like that. In fact it wasn't certain if it could be called a "city" since it never showed up on any of the other major atlases of Alakagross population centers, so it's the one I know least about. You guys going there get radios to communicate as well as extra medical equipment and rope. Lots and lots of rope.

Dune: Never too much rope.

Ivan: "I modified my own but I'm very very busy I gotta go investigate this byeeeeee"

-Ivan's trotting down the road with his mons. He's holding a handwritten list.-

Ivan: "Uhhh, says here the first stop is the Center. Hm."
