This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Poor guy can never have a happy ending.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I really disliked the gauntlet back when it came out, and I felt it was overly edgy.
Like the Rhino was just a silly dumb bad guy, doing this to him just makes him not fun to see Spider-Man beat up.
And don't get me started on Lizard eating his own son. Or Electro becoming a fat middle aged man ranting against Rich People.
It says a lot that Dan Slott's era was preferable to this.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Its funny how Rhino is a pretty goofy guy yet adaptations play him pretty serious. Like his normal costume is pretty comical especially due to his pudgy body and simplistic design along with the rhino face around his head that makes him look like a rhino is eating him.
While Spectacular Spider-Man and the PS 4 game makes him more menacing through a more upright heroic build and in the latter's case making him more visibly armored so his suit isn't detail-less skin and removal of the rhino face.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Those adaptations also make him at least smarter than average.
The comics can't decide if he's an idiot like Flowers for Rhino, street smart, or pretty well read but judged as an idiot.
But speaking of the guy, is the one Miles teaming up with Alex? Because I thought he died in Ends of the Earth or did Ben revive him as a clone?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Hm... I haven't followed the comics, but I think Rhino was one of the people who had a loved one (his wife) revived in Clone Conspiracy.
I don't think his fate was elaborated on in Ends of the Earth but I didn't get the impression he was committing a murder-suicide by drowning Silver Sable. I assume he was able to escape himself after she died.
I vaguely remember his wife coming back or something back in Clone Conspiracy.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. In Ends of the Earth, Rhino was pretty nihilist, being the only member of the Six to know Ock’s plans to end the world and being pretty into it
I dunno if he planned to escape after drowning Sable. But he did show up alive later so who knows
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYes it was Alex. There a supervillain was kidnapping children and he was motivated to save his sister in law’s kid.
Even though his wife’s family doesn’t like him for being a supervillain he still wants to honor his wife by protecting them whenever he can.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."A three-issue Devils Reign: Spider-Man tie-in series has been announced by Marvel by Antony Piper and Ze Carlos. It follows up on Rose's revival from Spencer's run and pits him against Ben.
You know, with all this Mephisto stuff, it's awfully weird how Peter has never once interacted with him after OMD.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. He did, he and Deadpool went up against him in Joe Kelly's Spidey/Deadpool, in a story that revolved around the end of Deadpool's own marriage.
Must have missed that then.
So what happened?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I think that was when Peter punched Mephisto in the face
And Peter and Deadpool technically had a kid together because a clone was made using both their DNA.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Tbf Deadpool has like two kids right already?
What's one more?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."So what happened to Peter and Wade's lovechild?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Peter punched 'Mephisto' in the face during Slott's Silver Surfer run, it wasn't actually Mephisto though, more an illusion. Peter still felt good about it.
Mephisto made multiple appearances in Spidey/Deadpool, at one point he came to Peter in a dream and taunted him over his losses, saying he'd never know true happiness. This whole part of Kelly's run really felt like a backdoor pilot for things Spencer would flesh out, such as exploring what Mephisto wanted from Peter as well as making use of Mysterio.
I loved the time he got Deadpool's soul, but he was so annoying he let him go. Not surprising; bugging the crap out of people is one of his superpowers
Deadpool has at least four kids if the one girl that has his and Spider-Man's powers counts. The mobile game Marvel Strike Force introduced Deathpool, the daughter of Deadpool and Death, a while back.
How the hell does Death make baby
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSomething something something multiverse.
Is Thanos pissed at that baby?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Thanos was mad at Deadpool, since Deathpool's birth caused Death to disappear, to the point he started killing all of the Deapools in the multiverse.
Deathpool was born from Death's essence and the love between Death and Deadpool, according to the Marvel wiki. I don't really understand it either.

damn what is up with people and killing rhino's wife
