This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Bit of a spoiler for Action Comics this week◊, but I found it amusing, it's as if DC know what sort of week this is going to be to have Clark name drops "One More Day"
Truly, One More Day's legacy will never be forgotten.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. It being a meme is a fitting fate.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Non-Stop Spider-Man stopped in it's tracks, and will be relaunched as "The Savage Spider-Man" at some point in 2022. Joe Kelly will still write, but will have a different artist.
It'll deal with a 'transformed Spider-Man' I wonder if this tells us anything about Peter during Beyond or after issue 900?

What a bizarre comic nonstop was.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."TIL the reason (or at least one reason) why Non-Stop Spider-Man ironically took so long is because one of the artists for it, Chris Bachalo, actually got COVID.
Apparently he's okay now, but talk about rotten luck...
Wasn't NSSM established to be non-canon?

A tiny nugget of Nick Spencer's ASM conclusion has been leaked
Mephisto's true motivation for One More Day is revealed...he erased Peter and MJ's marriage because their daughter is destined to end his reign over all of Earth
Wow, I actually think I've heard that as a fan theory before.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Whoa, Breaking the Deal was right!
The Protomen enhanced my life.Makes me wonder if we'll get some sort of future or AU plot of the daughter vs. Mephisto. Assuming anyone bothers to pick this thread back up after Spencer.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Is anyone else reminded of Hades' motivation and plot in Disney's Hercules or is it just me? There, Hades was shown a vision that he'd rule all, but would be thwarted by Hercules, so he resorts to stealing Herc's godhood and have him killed as a mortal. But Mephisto was shown a similar vision, and opts to trick Peter and MJ into un-existing May Parker altogether. Damn, dude. Talk about escalation...
If this really keeps going, Linkara's going to be doing a lot of Spider-Reading soon. Of course, all this is assuming Spider-Man doesn't get purged because of the ongoing lawsuit with the Steve Ditko estate. I can only pray that they resolve that lawsuit somehow...

I'm fairly confident we're going to get an in-universe daughter at this point, to be born probably around issue 1000 , with issue 900 being where Peter and MJ properly renew their vows, it'd be ridiculous to follow a tease like this with 'oh, hey, here's ANOTHER AU Spider-Girl book, "May Comes To Helltown", there's too many instances of Marvel doing this now.

Undoing one more day on the 1000th issue would be something. After all these years.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Non stop was established to take place before Sins Rising, it was very much Canon.
Hades' plan was to turn Herc completely mortal and kill him ASAP, but luckily Pain and Panic bumbled the job.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Right. First turn Herc from a God into a mortal, then kill him. But there's something arguably worse about making it so that the very being destined to ruin your reign doesn't even exist at all. Then again, Mephisto's the literal devil, so of course a devil would go that low. I clarified my initial post regardless.

They could do a Prophecy Twist where either May or Annie kicks his ass?
Like it said the daughter of Mary Jane and Peter would end his reign....but it never said which one, or that either would be from the 616 universe, right?
Hell, maybe have both of them do it.
One Strip! One Strip!Mephisto: "Who would have ever thought that a the devil would be taken down by Annie May!?"
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI must express concern for Spencer - I'm legitimately worried that if he doesn't stick the landing here, angry fans will literally attack him in real life.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I feel like that already would have happened after Secret Empire, but yeah, bad/disappointing comics don't justify harassment or assault.
Thing is this run has gained him back a lot of the respect he lost from that Cap run, so it’ll be doubly painful if he screws the pooch. I mean, Slott got death threats for saying Superior Spider-Man would be permanent; yes, people actually believed him when he said that.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now.", He kind of already has abandoned all forms of social media because of all the backlash he got for Secret Empire.

4Chan have found Rich has uploaded even more images from Spencer's last issue for future articles, other scans include
BND Harry riding a Goblin glider
The Stacy Twins as twin Kindreds attacking Peter and MJ
The Kindreds kill BND Harry and he dies in Peter's arms telling him this is how it's supposed to be
The Kindreds both dying, and the last page with Peter and MJ kissing high above the city, the run ends with one word describing Peter and MJ: "Unbreakable"
PERFECT.
Also, happy 23,000th post!
I'm actually binging again my Venom collection by Donny Cates in honor of getting the King in Black trades last week thus finishing the series.
Currently on Absolute Carnage. Its interesting to think that the story was planned to just be a major story arc in the Venom comic, not a separate event. Though its pretty fucking rude how Marvel forced Cates into turning it an event forcing him to work his ass off and rush the story to fit it into only 5 issues.
They couldn't even give him an extra issue or 2. I mean shit War of the Realms, Empyre, and Heroes Reborn were 6-7 issues yet for Absolute Carnage and King in Black they only gave Cates and Stegman 5 issues to work with.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
