Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.
I earlier wanted to reply to one of the posts before. Right now it's about time for Christmas Eve, but I just realized not all members of Morfonica has Christmas images. So for now, I'll just do it with Poppin' Party instead. Have fun!

Oh yes, a Merry Christmas to all! It'd be good to do some fireworks for this occasion.
Edited by Coock-atoo on Dec 24th 2023 at 3:18:15 PM
Ah! That's a good idea Bomberman, I think we should also get the fireworks like we used on July 4th! What do you think sis?
Sure thing sis though we should make them appear with Christmas themed colors and shapes to make it more interesting!
Meet the Tamas!◊ Can't let any of those suckers live!
Allright! Oh, introductions? Ehm...
We're the all-girls Pop Rock band, Poppin' Party! On vocals and guitar (well, one of the guitarists of the band) is me, Kasumi Toyama! I'm also the band leader and also write lyrics for our songs! When I was young, I heard that sparkling "Star Beat" and until now I'll keep searching it until through the other side of the planet!
My name's Tae Hanazono. I'm also a guitarist in the band. I live with my parents and 20 rabbits, and I formerly work for the live house SPACE prior to its closing after the live show we played in there. My friends and bandmates often calls me "O-Tae".
I'm Rimi Ushigome. I play the bass in Poppin' Party, and my bass is a hand-me-down from my Onee-chan * . Um, I'm not the most confident with talking to you all, but I hope we can get along! Also, Kasumi-chan and Saaya-chan often call me as "Rimi-rin", and my favorite food are chocolate cornets. They're so yummy~
Saaya Yamabuki here. I'm the drummer for Poppin' Party, and I actually used to play in another band with my friends that were with me in the middle school. My family owns a bakery shop - Yamabuki Bakery - and I'm the oldest of three siblings. Recently, me and Kasumi are now working part-time at RiNG, a new livehouse and subsidiary of CiRCLE. I got a lot of duty to do, but I try my best to be a reliable and kind helper to everyone.
My name is Arisa Ichigaya, and I'm Poppin' Party's keyboardist. My grandma is the owner of a pawn store named Ryuuseidou, it's also where Kasumi met the Random Star guitar that would be eventually hers- and me. All of us are students from Hanasakigawa Girls' High School. Last term year, I'm the student council secretary, but this term year I got a "promotion" and now I'm the student council vice-president.
Actually, back then I and grandma don't celebrate Christmas to begin with, until Kasumi and the others dragged me in.
Nice to see some more folks joining. You know, it's funny because Rimi remind me of Honey (A friend of mine) in a way with how she look (Especially the hair). All she need is just a cowboy hat and dress and a revolver, and it'd be her all right! Perhaps you're actually sisters separated at birth, huh? Pfft, I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding.

(replying to )
Ah, uh, umm... that's just coincidence?
That's because Rimi-rin just really looks cute, I have an impulse to hug her!
(Rimi): Kasumi-chan, you're making me embarassed...!
Yeah... Rimi is adorable, and deliberately designed to look that cute

How many games got ported into Nintendo Switch? A lot of them.[1] An interesting performance - the blend of violin and electric guitar certainly has its charme.
I sometimes compose music too - for the curious, here is but a small sample of my creations:
[2] Different parts of the world you say, and yet no map known to man has a place called "Japan" marked on it - and humans have been to heights where the Earth itself cannot pull them back down, just to cartograph every last corner of it.
map.vpng A digital picture of a map sketched and painted on parchment. It doesn't resemble our Earth at all, but it does hint at the fact that humanity in the Alchemist's universe know their Earth is spheroidal.
Is "Japan" to be found anywhere in this depiction of Earth?
"What I don‘t like about measure theory is that you have to say 'almost everywhere' almost everywhere." - Attributed to Kurt Friedrichs[1] Indeed, it's always a good feeling to spark up some joy for the holidays and this thread could certainly use some of it! [2] Wow! That's an amazing tune, absolute beauty to my ears!
That reminds me, Melodytchi and I are going to making some songs later today too! It's going to lesser known ones as apposed to the overplayed songs that's often used in stores.

Meet the Tamas!◊ Can't let any of those suckers live!()
Mashiro-chan is right now "busy" with her bandmates, but thanks to know that!
Now regarding about the map thing, I guess you reminded me that Tae just says things that don't make sense, even though she's nowhere as ridiculously energetic as Kasumi.
Unfortunately that isn't our world's map - though that's just to be expected from someone from an alternate version of our Earth. We're from an universe that does have a lot of similarities with "real-life" universe or Earth.
(Arisa): Now I've just scrolled up and that probably made sense that you asked the other girl band from before about "alchemy"... Well, sorry, we can't help you with this. Now, does the term "multiverse" rings a bell to you?
TG: [1] yeah thats it

Yeah, we're trying out a bunch of old school games we just downloaded on the Switch!
It's still funny to think emulators would lead to bringing them to modern consoles.

Ehehe, looks like this place's got a new visitor. Hiya, Roxy!
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven... wait, how many of these cute creatures?
Sixteen, I think... wait, one of them isn't like the others!
O-Tae, Kasumi, these are Tamagotchis... and you're right, Buttercup (from The Powerpuff Girls) is with them.
You can thank me for that discovery because I often search the internet... W-wait! Everyone! I think we should just speak individually more than just switching between our own text!
(Kasumi): That's hypocritical of you, Arisa! You're the one who added the line that made all of us speak in this one mess-
(Arisa): Kasumi... SHUT UP!!

How many games got ported into Nintendo Switch? A lot of them.
Just got back from our workout at the gym, after our time shopping at the mall.
We're now at Momo Yaoyorozu's house. I'm gonna take a rest for a bit before we all have the holiday dinner at her house.
Momo here, how is everyone's Christmas afternoon?

It's Bomberman! That's my name! And what's your name?
Also, it's that alternate version of me who have siblings... I only have friends myself!
I like to think that it's the pre-Super Bomberman R version I'm roleplaying as, as R is a reboot.
