OK, fair enough, we'll delay our first game.

works for me actually, since I still have more world building and maps to make before we get started. I like to be Crazy-Prepared for my games.

Even if I do have access to all the PDF's now (thank you BTW), I still prefer using the books that I own to look up stuff like equipment to divvy out, monster info, etc. so you guys know which books i do own:

• Player's Handbook 1,2,& 3
• Dungeon Master's Guide 1
• Monster Manual 1
• Adventurer's Vault 1

seriously, it works better for me this way. (otherwise, tomorrow would have been kinda winged, i only got my books recently, and things are really heavy for me atm.)

well, there isnt alot of stuff in there for psions exactly.

some decent equipment with properties though.

I sure hope not. I got an extended edition LOTR marathon both Saturday and Sunday.

Indeed. I suggest we move to the discussion thread for a bit, maybe desribe our characters to each other, get some interpersonal relations going on, etc. I've always hated games that start with 'okay, so, you're like, in a bar. You see this guy in the corner...' without any established characterizatiion.

Unless you're going the Order Of The Stick route, and adventurers are actually hired in taverns.

I am considering reviving this project, since I know where I am going to be at my uncles working for the next 10 weeks or so. not too sure if I should revive, but If I did, there would be a few changes:

1: it wouldn't be 4e anymore, I think I would like to do a modified version of 3.5. If that doesnt work, then 4e is fine, I think I just prefer 3.5 myself.

2: I would like everyone to partake in D Ming, rather than just one person. I know that this would make any continuity as mess, but I prefer the Idea that everyone has a DMPC and anyone can pick up the mantle of DM to keep the game running. I don't want everything to stop just because one person isn't available on a given day.

3: I want to look into some way to explain in universe why Bob the Barbarian can't finish the fight he just started because his RL player couldn't make the next session. either another player takes double duty (not the DM, already doing double duty) or have a Lazy Backup Party in My Pocket situation at any given time. Maybe even have the characters open for player's to play them, and not be "owned" by any particular DM.

BASICALLY, I want an open-canon, high-adaptable campaign running where we can pick up playing and put it down any time. Everyone is the DM, the world-builder, the encounter maker, and the heroes themselves. We could even have different parties running around in the same universe with different goals, one good one evil or whatever we wanted to do! would you guys be up for this? (if you are still following?)

well that's one vote in. even though the game is going to change drastically, anyone who was already in the old game is still auto in the new one (that is, if we get it rolling)

as far as scheduling, I would say ANY TIME WE CAN GET A GAME GOING! All we need is at least 4 PC's and a DMPC at any given time.

I'm gonna have to drop out. Sorry. :(

fair enough, but I feel obligated to tell you, there is an online resource that covers almost everything you'd need to play, called the d20srd. If you change your mind, have a look at it, helped me out tons when I started playing again.

oh yeah, and I pretty much only have the players handbook for this one myself, so I'm going to download a decent monster manual and dungeons master guide on PDF and read up.
