That image works fine; leave it.
No it doesn't. As the caption point out. If you "Never found out what happens next" Then it's not an example. Read the description

No idea what that image is supposed to mean. No. Don't explain it. You obviously need to be a Mario person to get it.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI think Mario is popular enough so that his general goal is known to almost anyone.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.If you're going to change images, then at least put the Quarter Life one on Left Hanging.
Nothing about the picture says it was Left Hanging.
Fight smart, not fair.FWIW, I like the "Thank you Mario" image. Is it not obvious that he's on a mission to Save the Princess, and at the end of a castle, and the Toad guy says "sorry this isn't the last castle"?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I was able to understand what is going on an I never played a Mario game. But it is all text, so we should make it a page quote and find a better picture.
Maybe two pictures? One that shows a typical ending scene, next something happening?
I confess I've never played that particular Mario game—but I'd be amazed if someone couldn't understand what it means. Everyone knows Mario is trying to Save the Princess, and it's clear from the image, whoops, she's not here, there's still more.
I like it.
Actually. Wait. Your Princess Is in Another Castle! is a trope unto itself.

Perhps we have a screenshot of a game in one of its "fake final sequence" moments (perhaps a character talking about how they're on the way to the final battle), juxtaposed with a picture of "disc one"?
Or perhaps an image of the Disc-One Final Dungeon next to a picture of Disc One, or with a caption that says something to the effect of "our quest is almost complete! I wonder what that "second disc" was for?"
I have a message from another time...On the topic of using Mario as the source for a picture, I'm thinking about using a still of the scene at the end of Galaxy 2 when Bowser pops right back up and eats the Grand Star after you beat him.
Actually, how *is* this trope different from Your Princess Is in Another Castle!?
Belief or disbelief rests with you.Well, Not so Fast, Bucko! is often Spoiled by the Format....
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Also, what about Disc-One Final Dungeon? The only mention of the difference on Your Princess Is in Another Castle! is that YPIIAC "is a definite cop-out" *, and Disc-One Final Dungeon doesn't mention YPIIAC at all. I think we have three tropes that more or less mean the same thing.
Now Bloggier than ever before! Is the picture that's on the page right now a good enough example?
and ... I've actually started a discussion about that here, feel free to take part.
This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.Re-bump...is the current pic good enough?
Eh. It's functional.
Fight smart, not fair.If it's okay, can we lock or clock?
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things.Since this thread's been lag-bumped twice, it's probably not gonna generate much more discussion, but I clocked it just in case.
Clock's up, locking up.
The current image for Not so Fast, Bucko! is terrible, and the caption makes it clear it's not even an example, but an example of Left Hanging
