Because it's Vince's wrestling company and he wants to push who he wants regardless of how much money he loses as long as it's not all.
Man, even a Shield Reunion is getting booed.
Vince, take the damn hint here.
It doesn't matter what he does, not only do people not want Roman as the Champ, they don't want him period.
You need to back off. People are booing any match Roman is involved in, and even the guys he's wrestling against. That's not good.
Rollins and Ambrose were getting booed, and people like those two.
One Strip! One Strip! That's not quite right. The Shield was opposing Strowman, and Roman had just beaten Balor clean in his rematch. It wasn't a setup for mega babyface Roman moments.
Besides, the smark fans consistently peter out on the Roman boos when the Shield is involved, or when there's something else shiny to distract them. Vince isn't entirely wrong.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'll be taking a brief trip to Tokyo. Unfortunately the NJPW Road to Destruction shows in town my first two nights sold out before I could buy a ticket (and you have to buy a ticket in Tokyo, so I was looking for a safe work around, but no luck).
Also, I'm not nearly familiar enough with DDT to look into its shows...
However...
I'll be going to All In and Smackdown 1000!
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOuch, my apologies to any Jami Jameson fans who stumble across this thread. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the battle royal. On one hand, I'm reminded of Shockwave Impact Wrestling's all day iron man, which in hindsight seemed like a publicity stunt that put unnecessary strain on the wrestlers, who risked their health for a promotion I haven't heard anything else about since. Still, the wrestlers themselves lasted(Tom Sharp might be risking his health for another publicity stunt!), and Black Diamond, while not the biggest or longest running promotion, is more known than SWI, so I doubt this will be the last I hear of them.
If anyone does know what Shockwave did after that match, please let me know. I'd love to help spread the word if there are any words worth spreading.
And it looks like I won't be going either. My sister-in-law scheduled my nephew's birthday for that day. I'll have to see if I can return, or resell, the tickets.
Scheduled? Is it not his actual birthday?
Tell the nephew you're going to get him some signed wrestling memorabilia, and you'll see him later...

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.^_^ His actual birthday is the Tuesday before, but that will be a school and a work day.
I just got back from All In. It was incredible. And the crowd was the BEST sporting event crowd I've EVER been in. (SCU!)
The last half of the show was just non-stop energy. Even when I stepped out for a breather during some entrances, I ran into Diamond Dallas Page and got a handshake and a picture.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyHas there ever been a study on to what percentage of the time the person who goes over on the go-home show loses at the pay per view (in WWE in particular, and in general)?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIs anyone following NJPW or Australian pro wrestling (specifically MCW)?
November of last year, Fale inducts the Australian "Mr. Juicy" Gino Gambino to the Bullet Club. He appears with them in a Rumble at Wrestle Kingdom, and in a minor role in a Being the Elite video. Nothing since. He defends a championship against fellow Australian Robbie Eagles over the weekend, then Eagles becomes Taiji Ishimori's tag partner in the Bullet Club.
I'd like some confirmation that Gambino's still in the Club or not. He steps out of his heel persona to be a mental health advocate, and I like that, so I like him, even if I haven't seen his matches (though I did hear his match against Eagles was great).
The sad, REAL American dichotomyLucha Underground is being taken off Netflix on November 15, and seasons 3 and 4 never made it to the platform.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy...Holy shit! That beginning of Raw.
One Strip! One Strip!I always said the way to get Roman over was to have him take a significant break, but this is not the way I would have wanted it.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. This isn't the way anyone wanted it! I can't picture anyone being happy about something like this!
One Strip! One Strip! That goes without saying.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.I never hated Roman, despite how critical I have been in booking decisions involving him. But I wish him nothing but the best and hope he can overcome this.
This is such a severe case of Harsher in Hindsight.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.So he has been fighting off cancer his entire career.
Please remember, no one knows all of another person's story and struggle.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyWell, no, that's not how remission works, and I should know. That would be akin to saying if you broke your leg, and then broke it again you were wrestling with a broken leg the whole time.
Though leukemia in particular comes with a spectre of return.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Yeah, I'm well aware of that spectre. "And I would know", having had family and friends go through remission or die to cancer, and the fact that most of my clients have faced it.
But it's not worth arguing about. For you or whoever in your life has fought it off, congratulations and I hope for a long life of kindness.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyJust got back from my first International Wrestling Cartel in months. It was overall a good show. There were only two matches that disappointed me. One involved a guy who'd debuted recently, and I think he may have botched a lift and pulled something, necessitating a quick finish, but it didn't help that it was Face vs Face, and they started with trading punches and headbutts. The second one was two of the larger guys in the company, height and weight wise, and one of them being a guy who's been there since the founding. It had a few good moments, but I think Jimmy Vega$ is just slowing down a lot. David Arquette showed up, albeit as a manager for RJ City who wrestled with Colt Cabana, kayfabe story being that he originally got booked somewhere else. His presence played into the Women's title match, where Katie Arquette (AFAIK, no relation) had him show up as a guest referee for her win over Brittney Baker.
I won't be able to make the next show on December 8th, because I have a theater show I'm performing in that night, but I think they did a good job building up to the next one.
Sounds like a good time.

Crowd boos two guys in the ring, cheers one guy outside of it. Who should be pushed in this situation? Why is this so hard?
