• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Amy Adams as Kathy, a few years later she'd get her Star-Making Role in Junebug.
  • John Gallagher Jr. as Tyler, who would later go on to win a Tony Award for Spring Awakening, as well as star in Sorkin's HBO series The Newsroom.
• Unintentional Period Piece: The confusion about time zones was Truth in Television when the episode aired. At that time (2002), most of Indiana was in the Eastern Time Zone (the same zone as Washington, DC) but did not observe daylight time. Adding to the confusion was that the portions of the state on Central Time (the northwest portion near Chicago, and the southeast corner in and near Evansville) did use daylight time. This became an artifact in 2006, when an Indiana law instituting statewide daylight time took effect.
