• Memetic Mutation: "I SLEEP NOW."
• Padding: Like most of the movies they're parodying, there's lots of pointless scenes of people walking, and conversations that go on a lot longer than they have to. At least in this movie, the padding is generally funny.
• So Bad, It's Good: A parody of such movies.
• Special Effects Failure: Oh, is there ever. And it's all done on purpose. A few examples:
  • When Kro-bar and Lattis' ship lands on Earth, it's obviously a model made from a toilet paper tube.
  • When Animala, the Skeleton, and Roger are walking around, you can tell that Roger is holding the skeleton upright just out of camera range.
  • The device that the aliens use to disguise themselves in human clothes, and that Roger uses to create Animala, is a caulk gun.
• Ugly Cute: The mutant.

The Lost Skeleton Returns Again

• Nightmare Fuel: As noted in the commentary, the first appearance of the cantaloupe monster is genuinely scary with the way it suddenly lunges into a POV shot.
• Special Effect Failure: The obvious zipper on the back of the monster suits.
