• Fight Scene Failure: The fight scenes are unfortunately unconvincing.
• Narm: The truly terrible English subtitles for episode five. Most of the YouTube comments are people laughing at the most blatant mistranslations ("after the audience with Viagra" is the one mentioned most frequently).
• Retroactive Recognition: Zhu Yi Long has a minor role as Ying Ji. Three years later he became famous for playing Shen Wei in Guardian.
• The Woobie: Xiang Shi. When she's pregnant Queen Wei tries to force her to miscarry, and when Mi Yue's a toddler the queen has Xiang Shi kidnapped. Xiang Shi ends up being imprisoned and raped, and is even forced to give birth to her rapist's baby.
