• Harsher in Hindsight: In one episode, one character incredulously asks another "You're STILL sending money to Haiti?!" This comment was clearly referencing the Haiti earthquake that occurred almost a year before the episode aired. Unfortunately, the episode ended up airing a mere 2 days after the beginning of a cholera outbreak in Haiti.
• Jerkass Woobie: It's hard not to feel sorry for Todd after he finds out he's adopted, considering it's probably the one thing that isn't in some way or another his fault in the whole show. Then he starts reacting.
• Memetic Badass: This is how the North Koreans describe Todd in the second season episode openings.
• Retroactive Recognition: Latecomers may recognize Colin Salmon as Walter Steele in Arrow or Sands in Limitless.
