• Retroactive Recognition: Several actors in this film would later play James Bond's superiors:
  • Geoffrey Keen, seen here as the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff, would later play the Minister of Defence during several of Roger Moore's films.
  • Both Bernard Lee and Robert Brown had uncredited roles as British officers in shipboard scenes. Both would later play M, Lee famously for all films from the franchise's beginning until his death, with Brown taking over for Moore's final two films and Timothy Dalton's run. Brown also appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me as Admiral Hargreaves (who may or may not be Lee's successor as M).
