• Ensemble Dark Horse: Hunico, due to his Memetic Badass status and overall skill compared to Mistico, who botched very often. When you suddenly squash a newly crowned Baron Corbin after not being in a match for 2 months and people want you to get an immediate shot at the US title, you know you're over.
• Fan Nickname:
  • Botch Cara. That being said, while both performers of the gimmick are known for botching, the first performer, Luis Urive, is more well-known for this.
  • Soda Cara. A name that originated from a backstage report about a backstage fight between Sin Cara and Simon Gotch, in which the former gave the latter a black eye by throwing a loaded soda can at his face. Soda Cara is a Memetic Badass who many claim should face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
• Memetic Badass: Sin Cara Dos, aka Hunico, after he became well-known in the IWC for winning backstage fights, including one where he gave Simon Gotch a black eye by throwing a soda can at him.
• Memetic Loser: Sin Cara Uno, aka Mistico, is viewed by most smarks as a human botch machine thanks to his mistake-prone WWE run. Almost any reference to him on forums or message boards will include a joke about him botching something or other.
• Memetic Mutation: Related to the Memetic Badass entry above, fans often joke that a can of soda is Sin Cara Dos' weapon.
• Never Live It Down:
  • Some people will just not forget the fact that his first couple of matches had some noticeable botches due to him getting used to the WWE wrestling style.
    • Anybody who's ever worn one of his masks he's wearing in WWE or ones like it will let you know it is hard to see out of those masks with a mesh on the eyes. The material isn't thin enough to see clearly through. It doesn't help with mood lightning either.
  • Or his unfortunate t-shirt◊.
  • The time Mistico called off his match with Alberto Del Rio for dislocating his finger. While we don't know how much pain he was in, there have been other wrestlers who have powered through much worse injuries and has made Mistico seem very fragile in comparison (special mention to Dragon Gate's K-ness, who once dislocated his elbow and still managed to set it back by himself and end the match).
• Shocking Moments:
  • Booker T calls Sin Cara's aerial moves getting "caught in the lights." He's only exaggerating a little bit.
  • Sin Cara's in-ring struggles as a singles competitor have been well-documented. So how did WWE respond? They put him in a tag team - with Rey Mysterio.
