Go To

  • Base-Breaking Character: Elizabeth is beloved by some fans from her evilness, pride, her alpha bitchy behavior and she could be quite hilarious. But everyone comes against her because of a whole Layla and Ariel thing, and her bitchy attitude in general.
  • Crazy Is Cool: Everyone loves Dylan with his foolishness, especially comes to alcohol, it makes all the viewers feel enjoyed by him.
  • Designated Hero: According to the cast members, Layla was considered to be "toxic girl" or "pick me girl" due to the guys especially when she's in the relationship with Ariel, also she played the victim when it comes to situation, plus many of the viewers find her a fake nice girl, selfish, hypocritical, unflawed and a vanilla (bland) character.
  • Designated Villain: While the antagonist characters are not saint, Elizabeth is a mean girl of the series, but people find her sympathetic, hilarious, very flawed but she wasn't all that bad when it comes to her backstory.
    • Robyn was portrayed as a cold-hearted sex addict who doesn't care about breaking people's hearts, having sex with people to use their advantages and rejecting Francis because she's too attractive, but she's just a teenager having a hard time making money to pay for her dorm, the viewers sees her as a good person who tries to make up what she did in the past.
  • Die for Our Ship: Elizabeth to Ariel/Layla shippers, she's the one who broke their relationship.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: The fans couldn't resist Elizabeth and her Alpha Bitch ways, but most of the fans seems to love and worship her from one of the most complex characters in the series.
  • Evil Is Cool: Elizabeth, and her two best friends, Rose and Rachel are the mean popular girls in school, but the whole evil act had enthralled the fans that well.
    • Ms. Thatcher has some moments.
  • Ho Yay:
    • Dylan and Ariel during their bromance moment together and being too close with each other.
    • Nick and Nolan, oh yes!
    • Francis and Ye-Joon for some point of their friendship.
  • Jerks Are Worse Than Villains: Unlike Ms. Thatcher, The parents of the sierra high students are just as bad as their kids.
  • Squick: When Karolina mentioned that Star poured ketchup on a cup of water and said it was kool aid.
  • Vanilla Protagonist: Unlike Dylan who happens to have a tragic backstory, Layla is the only one who is unflawed, boring, too privileged and definitely hypocritical character.
