• Hilarious in Hindsight: The final mask the killer has on underneath all those other masks is a brown latex horse head mask. Yes, the same horse head mask that has since become a popular meme.
• So Okay, It's Average: It's not as funny as anything by Zucker Abrahams and Zucker or offensively unfunny as any of Seltzer and Friedberg's movies. But it has its jokes and at least attempts a satire of Scream's attempted deconstruction by applying its methods to parodies.
• Squick: Dawson dressed as a deer, being forced to eat salt lick by an inbred mountain man.
