  • The second ED, "Kaze no Matsuri", sung by the Mongolian singer Wuyuntana, is playful and emotional.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: (WARNING! Contains spoilers for Shamanic Princess, Last Exile, AND Hellsing Ultimate!) When Kagetsu ended up getting almost turned into a laurel tree in episode 2, and trapped in a tree-like structure in episodes 3 and 4, this may have highlighted how one of Crispin Freeman's later characters, Alex Rowe, would get tied up in Delphine's rose thorns. When Kagetsu was trapped in the tree statue, the positioning was even similar to Alex in the rose thorns. Also, in episode 8 of Hellsing Ultimate, Crispin's flagship character, Alucard, had some plant problems of his own. He battled Anderson who turned himself into a thorn freak, and then got impaled with thorns crawling all over him.
• Les Yay: Tiara's devotion to Sara is rather subtexty.
• Nightmare Fuel: The Throne of Yord. More specifically, the secret behind it.
• The Woobie: Everybody to some extent (the restrictive social structure of their world doesn't seem to leave anyone much room for happiness), but especially Graham.
