  • Anvilicious: In season 4 and 5, Mathieu became way more preachy. In several cases though, Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped.
  • Crazy Awesome: The Hippie sometimes displays very uexpected abilities, possibly because of how high he is, or as a form of Achievements in Ignorance. Or both.
Mathieu: (pointing a laser at the moon) Here, look, I'm pointing this thing up there, go fetch.
Hippie: Here we go, dude! (takes off like a rocket)

  • Crosses the Line Twice: The Boss persona often fits this trope.
Boss: "I killed ten children with compassion and love".
  • "Funny Aneurysm" Moment:
    • In Episode 89, Mathieu makes a joke about people dying at the Bataclan theatre due to cars inexplicably falling from the sky and exploding. A year after the episode was released, the November 2015 Paris attacks happened, in which 89 people were killed at the very same thatre.
    • Episode 101, uploaded on November 13, 2015, parodied a scene from a TV show in which a character jumped out of a window, by adding an "allahu akbar" voice clip and a fake explosion. Later that day, over 100 people were killed in the aforementioned Paris attacks, which involved suicide bombers.
  • Growing the Beard: Season 2 marks is the point when Mathieu found the definitive formula of his show. Coincidently, it's also when he started showing facial hair.

  • The Scrappy: Mathieu himself wasn't very happy with the Dumb Blonde persona. This is why she disappeared in the fourth season.
  • Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped: Mathieu makes a point of explaining what is fundamentally wrong with some of the videos he reviews, especially when the makers of said videos employ incredibly warped logic.
  • Special Effects Failure: Parodied.
    Mathieu: Let's ask a judge!
Hippie: (holding a hammer in front of a green-screened courtroom) I am justice, dude!
Mathieu: Our costume budget is pretty low...
