• It Was His Sled: By now, it's a fairly open secret that the shoddy animation in parts 1-4 is entirely deliberate as a lead-in to the Animation Bump for part 5, and the creator is actually a professional animator under a pseudonym. It's actually almost harder to not know these things going in nowadays, but at the time of part 5's release, these were both meant to be heavy-hitting revelations!
• Memetic Mutation: Comments sarcastically (or earnestly) hyping up Octocat Adventures and its deep, emotional story can be found very frequently on all of the parts.
• Quirky Work: A red octopus-cat Hybrid seeks out his missing parents, venturing to strange places and meeting strange creatures, with a lot of Mind Screw and crude Deranged Animation, all under the Kayfabe of being created by a 9 year old.
• Signature Scene: "I will find my parents! I will find my pareeeeeents! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..."
• So Bad, It's Good: Pretty much the entire purpose of the series ( up to the last episode, that is) is to invoke this animation-wise.
• Tear Jerker: The fifth and last episode ends with Octocat wandering alone through the world after being unable to reunite with his parents. The implication seems that they might even be deceased, according to some text.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Octocat Himself, after killing a giant worm-like monster with a "Planet". Just because he said Octocat had no parents!
