- Awesome Music: The Theme Tune captures the suspenseful tone of the series very well. It's also really catchy.
- Harsher in Hindsight: The final episode reveals a sinister piece of legislation that allows the government almost unlimited power to invade people's privacy. While it was a good plot point at the time, it comes across as eerily prescient of the Patriot Act.
- Narm: "A Rough Whimper Of Insanity" portrays The Internet as Cyberspace with flawless photo-realism, which can be accessed by Brain/Computer Interface. Hollywood Hacking comes into play later, and it gets even more hilarious.
- Paranoia Fuel: Oh dear god, where to begin? Virtually everything that happens in the show could have been faked by the Conspiracy, including the protagonist's own memories of his life.
- Unintentional Period Piece: Photo negatives (and film photography in general) are nowhere near as common today as they were when this show was made.
