YMMV / Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower

Go To

  • Evil Is Cool: Mukade aka Anrokuzan, being a badass living puppet as well as being voiced by Ryūzaburō Ōtomo in the original version.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: The name of the Supreme Ultimate Rasengan can seem like narm (at least in the English dub version given in Japanese, it is Taikyoku), but the Fourth Shinobi War in the main series establishes Minato as a Giver of Lame Names.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: With the hook of Naruto traveling into the past and meeting Minato, one would think the film would focus on his interacting with his father back when he was alive. Nope. Naruto spends most of the film separated from him, and this occurs before Naruto learns the Fourth Hokage was his father. This is particularly egregious because the Easy Amnesia means the film could've been free to have them discuss anything without worrying about breaking continuity.
    • The same applies to a young Kakashi, who's only role is limited to near the end, and Naruto has no real interaction with him.
